The Umbral Manifesto

In the vast expanse of the universe, there exists a balance, a harmony between light and shadow. We, the followers of Umbral, acknowledge that both are not opposing forces but the very essence of existence itself. For one cannot exist without the other, and in embracing this truth, we find enlightenment.

We Praise the Light, but We Embrace the Shadows.
The Light guides us, but it is in the Shadows where we discover our depth. We understand that growth and wisdom come not only from moments of clarity but from the obscurity where understanding is forged. Through the Shadows, we learn empathy, resilience, and the capacity to transform adversity into strength.

All Life is Sacred.
From the smallest microbe to the grandest star, every form of life in the universe holds intrinsic value. We commit ourselves to the protection, preservation, and reverence of all life, acknowledging that each being carries a unique light, contributing to the collective whole of existence.

Equality is the Heart of Our Faith.
We stand unwavering in our commitment to equality, knowing that every soul, regardless of origin, shape, or station, deserves respect. We reject division, for we are all bound by the same cosmic forces, each deserving of dignity and justice.

Emotion and Reason, In Harmony.
Through discipline and introspection, we seek to control and understand our emotions, and to elevate our reasoning. It is through this balance that we find clarity of purpose, moving beyond base desires and impulses to act with wisdom and compassion.

The Path of Non-Greed and Non-Spite.
Greed blinds us, and spite poisons the soul. We hold that abundance is to be shared, not hoarded; that kindness is to be given, not bartered. In our pursuit of spiritual growth, we renounce envy and vengeance, choosing instead the path of peace and collaboration.

We Believe in the Existence of Higher Consciousness.
Beyond the physical body lies the potential for transcendence. We embrace the concept of higher states of consciousness, where the limitations of the material world fade, and we connect with the greater cosmic truth. It is in these states of awareness that we discover our true nature and the purpose of our journey.

We stand in awe of the universe—its vastness, its complexity, its beauty. We are not here to conquer it, but to understand it, to explore its many layers, and to honor the mysteries that lie within. Through respect and exploration, we seek to align ourselves with the natural order, knowing that in understanding the universe, we understand ourselves.

   These rules and guidelines are subject to change without prior notice.

Suggestions are welcome. If you have any ideas on how to improve the server or its rules, feel free to share them with the management team.

By following these rules, we can ensure that the community remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone, whilst still allowing for some light-hearted humour and friendly banter-esque interactions.

1. 1 │Member Conduct
   • 1 │ Respect and Courtesy**
     - Treat all members with respect. Any malicious behaviour such as harassment or discrimination will not be tolerated.
     - Constructive criticism is welcome if expressed respectfully.

1.2 │ Banter and Humour
- Light banter is allowed. Friendly teasing and joking are part of the community spirit, but should remain respectful.
- Dark humour is permitted within reason. Ensure jokes do not cross the line into overtly offensive, racist, or discriminatory territory.

1.3 │ Racism or Discrimination
- Any form of racist comments, jokes, or slurs will result in immediate disciplinary action. Zero tolerance.
- Comments or actions discriminating against someone’s race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or religion are strictly prohibited.

1.4 │ Derogatory Language
- Avoid using derogatory terms or language that is intended to demean or belittle others.
- Personal attacks and name-calling are strictly prohibited.

1.5 │ Hate Speech & Content
- Hate speech in any form, including symbols, images, and language is prohibited.
- Offensive usernames, profiles or avatars that contain hate speech or discriminatory content is prohibited.

1. 2 │Server Conduct

2.1 │ Safe and Inclusive Environment
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere. Everyone should feel welcome and safe in this community. – If you witness or experience any form of malicious behaviour, please report it to the management team.

2.2 │ Content
- Keep discussions appropriate for all audiences. Any NSFW content or discussions, including images, videos, or links, is prohibited.
- Do not share pirated software, copyrighted material or any other content relating to illegal activities.

2.3 │ Spam and Advertising
- Excessive messaging, unnecessary tagging, and repeated posting of the same content are prohibited.
- Promoting other servers, services, or products without permission is prohibited.

2.4 │ Channels
- Adhere to specific channel rules. Each channel may have its own set of rules pinned; make sure to follow them where appropriate.
- Stay on topic. Keep discussions relevant to the channel’s purpose.

2.5 │ Language and Communication
- Please use the English language in our public channels unless otherwise specified. This ensures that moderation is effective and inclusive.
- Avoid excessive use of caps and formatting that makes text hard to read or appears as shouting.

2.6 │ Privacy and Personal Information
- Respect each others privacy. Do not share any information pertaining to yourself or others without explicit consent.
- Sharing someone’s personal information without their explicit consent is strictly forbidden.

2.7 │ Moderation and Enforcement
- Follow any instructions from the management team that are made within reason. – If you feel a moderation action was unjust, you may appeal to the management team in a respectful manner.

2.8 │ Reporting Violations
- Use the proper channels to report rule violations. Do not engage with or confront the violator directly; let management handle the situation appropriately. – Screenshots or message links can help management understand the context and take appropriate action. Please collate & provide the required evidence if necessary.

As a community representative, your actions have the potential to directly influence the server’s reputation, whether positive or negative, and the overall experience in-game and within the community. Strive to be a role model and foster a welcoming, enjoyable environment for all who participate.

By following these guidelines, you will help foster a more positive environment and ensure our reputation remains outstanding amongst our peers and those we interact with.

1. 3 │General Conduct

3.1 │ Behaviour
- Always act with professionalism. Remember that you represent the server at all times.
- Treat everyone with respect and courtesy, regardless of their behaviour.
- Promote an inclusive environment. Do not engage in or tolerate any form of malicious behaviour.
- Maintain a positive attitude and be encouraging to others. Avoid negative or toxic behaviour.

3.2 │ Communication
- Communicate clearly and effectively with people. Ensure that your interactions are easy to understand or interpret.
- Be helpful and patient with new members, players or those seeking assistance. Provide guidance and support as needed.
- Use appropriate and professional language at all times. Avoid excessive profanity and derogatory language.

3.3 │ Conflict Resolution
- Remain calm and composed in conflicts or heated situations. Do not engage in arguments.
- Use de-escalation techniques to diffuse tense situations. If necessary, refer any potential or ongoing issues to management.
- Report any severe issues or conflicts to the management team immediately.

4.1 │ In-Game Behaviour
- Always play fairly and encourage fair play amongst others.
- Abide by the server’s rules and guidelines at all times. Set a good example for others to follow.

4.2 │ Gameplay
- Do not exploit bugs or glitches.
- Refrain from using cheats, hacks, or any third-party software that gives an unfair advantage.

5.1 │ Representation
- Promote the server in a positive light. Share information about events, updates, and community news.
- Engage with the community through events, discussions, and activities.
- Actively look for feedback and relay it back to the management team to help improve the community.

5.2 │ Privacy and Confidentiality
- Do not share personal information of yourself or others. Respect privacy at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of any sensitive information regarding the server’s operations or its members.

5.3 │ Accountability
- Own up to mistakes and learn from them. Apologize if you have wronged someone.
- Be open to feedback from other members and the management team. Use it to improve your overall conduct.

5.4 │ Enforcement and Compliance
- Be aware your activities and interactions may be monitored to ensure compliance with our rules and guidelines. – Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in disciplinary actions, including but not limited to being dismissed from your role as representative and/or the community and it’s outlets.
