History

Originating From the Sol System and the United Nations after the cataclysm of 2070, the UCS has led the advancement of technology and the colonization of planets outside of Sol (with the help of private companies and the citizens) and protects all willing to help achieve the goal of peace, prosperity, and expansion.

FIRST CONTACT ▬ After the disaster on Cyprus with experimental wormhole technology, an unknown connection was made to a Jump Point in the Stanton System, and the crew of a damaged AIC HERMES made first contact with the UEE. With ongoing communications with the scientists on the HERMES and the active UEE security forces, directions were given to a secure area for assessment of the Hermes and active personnel aboard. After realizing their current situation, both parties learned about the other’s realities and the different tide of events for each one, all were astonished at the technologies brought forth and the very fact that alternate universes exist, or that a distant galaxy is so similar to their own.

THE ROAD BACK HOME ▬ It was undetermined whether or not the citizens of the UCS could get back to their home along with not being able to communicate with the UCS, so extensive research was done over a period of 2 years at a research facility on Daymar, and repairs/upgrades were done on the HERMES in space dock, up until the exact data was recovered for the incident that brought the crew to Stanton. Thought previously to be accidental, navigational systems on the HERMES were found to be tempered with from an unknown signal. Putting aside this currently unobtainable information, the HERMES crew readied themselves at the Jump Point they came from and ignited their altered wormhole drive. Reversing the process surprisingly worked and the data was monitored. The time between the Cyprus System and the Stanton System was almost exactly similar, with the crew being gone almost 2 years. After extensive biological tests from the UCS collective and technical tests on the HERMES from AIC, the crew was able to return to their families with warm and concerned welcome homes.

A STRONGER CONNECTION ▬ With the crew of the HERMES thought previously as MIA or dead, the UCS halted AIC’s production on the wormhole technologies and corresponding vessels, until further notice. But with the crew’s safe return, and the data and modifications being integrated into a new prototype on the HERMES platform, further tests were conducted and monitored with all being successful. Soon UCS officials were able to reliably communicate with higher-ups in the UEE, and a treaty of total peace was made, bringing with it new hope and new possibilities. After war status was formally declared by the UEE Senate on 2945 against the Vanduul, UCS fighters, corvettes, and destroyers were deployed to the Vega System to try and assist any forces on site. Since then and the battle of Vega II the UCS dedicates itself to helping the UEE at every front, from security to resources, and adheres to any standing laws from the UEE

(1) Since 2082 and the finalization of the “Sol Accords”, divisions were recreated to help manage the available resources left on the Earth, Moon, Mars, and the asteroid belt. These divisions were led by Heads of major corporations like AIC and FRG who helped restore humanity to its former glory in such a short time span.

Each has its own subcategories for specific roles and their own importance, which is offered to each citizen of the UCS. Such divisions include

[Exploration] – From touring to alien language translation, help your fellow citizens explore the verse!

[Medical] – Rescue those in need, or work aboard one of our fine medical vessels

[Conflict] – Defend all we hold dear, and fight for a better future!

[Resources] – From mining, to salvage, and even farming, become the backbone of org the org and its resource collection/allocation operations

[Transportation] – Travel across the verse to deliver the goods and services that people need. Without you, our stuff doesn’t get where it needs to go

[Science and Technology] – Engineering is mostly focused on Space Engineers until more improved gameplay loops

(2) Murderous means unjustified killing as determined by UCS rulings and law

(3) Griefing means prohibiting the org or other passive citizens (UEE or UCS or any allied org) from conducting their lawful business. Killing pirates over and over or participating in a pure pvp zone and killing each other wouldn’t count as griefing in the eyes of the UCS

(4) We create alliances with other governments, organizations, and collectives. ALL alliances may change depending on the state/morals of said gov/org/col currently and at the release of SC or deeper organization features.

UCS law is categorized into 4 “Pillars” that together make up a structure that all citizens MUST follow.

“A structure that can keep as many people satisfied as possible is a damn good structure to me” (Jerome Rodriguez – 2452)

The first Pillar is Morals : Though morals are subjective, as a society we must prevent utter chaos in order to preserve life and thrive. The ideals listed here are the foundation of the org and are very important to see if you can be the citizen we need and want you to be

The second Pillar is Communication : This is how you conduct yourself within the org, whether it be through voice, text, or in person

The third Pillar is Security : We must all respect each other’s privacy, and the rules here will instruct you how that works in our org

The fourth Pillar is Partnership : The UCS was originally founded with the mindset that success can be achieved alone, but can go further and be easier with the help of others. These rules will explain how we connect with those outside and in of our org to accomplish shared goals
