History

Uplink Corporation is the number one provider of Hosting and Security Services on the Network, and the most respected provider of those services across the galaxy. With an unparalleled amount of sites glaxywide, and unprecedented access to those in the security community, UplinkCorp is the most respected name in business today.

We provide hardware, software, and security solutions to companies everywhere. From renting out gateways and storage space to providing a free access bulletin board for our customers to request help from security professionals around the galaxy, UplinkCorp does it all.

For companies, we can provide offsite hosting for everything from regular backups of data to hosting for mission critical applications. For security professionals, we go so far as to provide a secure, full-access gateway for a nominal monthly fee, along with the ability to upgrade that gateway for a cost. But best of all we provide a full service system for companies and individuals to meet and exchange information and help requests, all for free.

Manifesto

Uplink Corporation has many DataCenters throughout the Galaxy, with a strong presence in urban and rural cities. The DataCenters feature redundant network topology and multiple failover power supplies, making them very reliable. UplinkCorp’s DataCenters are also extremely secure, and they’ve never had a successful break-in at any of their DataCenters.

In the age of space travel UplinkCorp has started hiring small amount of Security Consultants and Operatives that are tasked with upkeep and protection of growing DataCenter Network. They are also tasked in providing access to said secure network to companies and individuals all around the Galaxy.

Uplink Corporation shy away from using military solutions for all problems that can be resolved using other methods.

Charter

Uplink Agents work anonymously to perform tasks for clients in return for Credits. Agents must be diligent in covering up their tracks. If illegal activities are successfully traced to an Uplink Agent’s account, Uplink Corporation will disavow knowledge of the Agent and destroy their gateway and account.

Uplink Corporation is not responsible for any and all actions of its Agents done without direct permission from The UplinkCorp itself.
While not directly working for Uplink Corp said agents are free to do anything that is not detrimental for Uplink Corp itself.

Agents are allowed to join other organizations as affiliates or full on members with Uplink becoming affiliate membership.
A strict policy is enforced on ensuring all other agents survival. Securing other Agents survival in dangerous situations is encouraged.
Uplink agents are not allowed to take part in Military operations aimed at Uplink Corp assets and Corporation itself.
While infighting due to membership in organizations other than Uplink is frowned upon its allowed as long as it don’t damage Uplink corp itself.

While Core of the Member-base are full time Uplink Agents most of them are affiliates. Any player is allowed to became Uplink affiliate Agent with no restrictions.
There are no restrictions on visibility settings. We respect our Agents privacy.
