The U.E.E. Winds of Uranus is an Aegis Idris-P class capital ship; originally brought into service for civilian use in 2895 and currently serving under its current name since 2940.
The name is the result of bored scions hosting a half-baked naming competition across Hurston.
History
- 2551 – First Aegis Idris-m is commissioned.
- 2587 – First Aegis Idris-m is decommissioned.
- 2875 – First civilian Aegis Idris-P is commissioned.
- 2895 – The U.E.E. W.o.E. is commissioned for civil service, under the name “U.E.E. Perturbator.”
- 2910-2920 – Most of the current crew is born.
- 2939 – Renaming contest begins.
- 2940 – The Aegis Idris-P is renamed U.E.E. Winds of Uranus. The crew rejoices and burns through their drink rations.
- 2950 – The crew has accomplished nothing of note. Much of the ship is in disrepair.
- 2951 – The disrepair continues; quarantine procedures have been followed loosely. Drink rations are low.
- 2952 – New Year, New Us!
