Valkyrie Initiative / VALKRY

The Valkyrie Initiative was first founded as a PMC for hire, defending the small folk in the Stanton system to try and build a reputation as a reliable and efficient Military force. As they grew, they spread their reach to the lawless systems, providing protection for cargo haulers and tactical ground assaults for precious resources. Their growth brought with it a need for more equipment to help arm them for the intense conflicts they were experiencing, with higher qualities than they had any chance of finding. This is where the Valkyrie Initiative entered the Galactic Arms Race.

With the need for reliable weapons, ammo and armor but no reputable source to get them from, the Valkyrie Initiative had to start producing all necessary equipment in house. They set out with the goal of building a headquarters large enough to train the new recruits that were flooding in, produce the necessary equipment they needed for the operations, while still making enough product to sell to help finance the entire organization.

The Valkyrie Initiatives first HQ was on Hurston and was widely known as the steppingstone to a much larger goal, but that didn’t stop it from rapidly growing. With the realization that corporate companies such as Crusader and MicroTech as well as the UEE were failing miserably to protect the everyday citizens, People started looking for other places to go and the VI was eager to grow.

The Valkyrie Initiative started bringing in people to start both mining and salvaging operations to help supply themselves instead of having to outsource all the materials, as well as fill a number of essential jobs within the new city. They offered non-combat oriented members a home and protection and gave them a list of jobs to choose from. These members of the VI were not expected to participate or be trained in combat operations so long as they performed the jobs that they were brought on to do or specialized in, opening a safe haven for anyone in need.
