Vanguard: Astra Sustinet. “The Vanguard sustains the stars”

History

Founding [2947-2950]

What began as a loose coalition of captains in the fringes of UEE space. Vanguards commanders remembered the lessons of Eons past. Fleets succeed or fail on the back of logistics.

Beginning as captains simply pooling supplies, Med gel, fuel, spare parts, intelligence and munitions soon became doctrine.

Consolidation [2951 – 2953]

Due to increasing demand from larger alliance, Vanguard formalised it’s first charter.
Creating the Four Corps of Vanguard.

The Industrial Corps [I – Corps] “

Charged with resource exploitation and manufacturing. They provide the very lifeblood of the Verse.

The Exploration Corps [E-Corps]

Charged with survey, Pathfinding, Research and data management. Acting as Vanguards eyes in the dark.

The Support Corps [S-Corps]

Charged with Cargo management, Hauling, Refuelling, Repair and Medical. They keep the fleet functioning.

The Combat Corps [ C-Corps]

Charged with the defence of Vanguard they keep our convoys sailing and our mining ships working. They are the shield and spear of Vanguard.

The Flag Group.

The centre point of Vanguard and it’s mobile headquarters. The flag group coordinates each of the corps and liaises with outside organisations to ensure their needs are fulfilled.

The Leaders of these corps form the Admiralty under the Fleet Admiral. A ruling council that ensures intelligent and considered decisions are made in regards to the fleets operations and requirements.

Modern Vanguard [2954 – Present]

Today Vanguard Operates it’s expeditionary fleet out in the fringes of UEE space. containing 4 Corps and 12 Divisions.
Organising it’s ships by their primary function and tonnage to best suit the needs of the mission at hand.
This enables Vanguard to maintain it’s versatile edge and enough flexibility to quickly establish small formations to suit each operation as they arise.

Manifesto

Our Purpose

we exist to enhance larger organisations through reliability and craft.
