The Worldbuilders Association of Aerospace Racing Pilots (WAARP) was founded in 2472 by terraformers (or “Worldbuilders”) in the Ellis System as an alternative to Amon Murray’s egotistical and corrupt way of conducting races. The terraformers who raced in those “early days” quickly realized any race Murray was involved with had only one winner… and that was Murray.
Instead of sanctioning races that included “no-holds barred” action, including endorsing the killing fellow racers on the track, as Murray did; WAARP believed in the tried and true principals of Motorsports Racing during Earth’s 20th Century. Today the association is open to all pilots, not just “Worldbuilders” and is commonly referred to simply as WAARP. Although not as well know as The Murray Cup, WAARP is enjoying a resurgence in popularity. WAARP is quickly becoming the leading sanctioning body of racing in the UEE for pilots tired of the “anything to win” attitude found in most racing currently taking place around the “Verse” today.
WAARP prides itself on conducting professional level racing events the emphasis safety, skill, passion and determination to bring Citizens the finest in Aerospace Competition. WAARP is also a leading lobbyist within the UEE to bring a more respectable form of racing to The Murray Cup itself.
