History

THE MISSION:
In 2955, a small force from the UEE Navy and several ambassadors from several mining companies, were sent into the Pyro system to open up lines of communication with the inhabitant gangs of Ruin Station and Checkmate Station. The UEE wanted to negotiate trade deals with the local gangs for resources that are common to the Pyro system in order to increase the mass production of capital class warships and Bengal carriers. At first the gang’s leaders were reluctant to visit with the UEE out of fear they would be invaded after negotiations were complete, but later agreed due to the failing economies and to strengthen their strongholds throughout the Pyro system.

NEGOTIATIONS FAILED:
On February 17, 2955, a meeting was scheduled at Checkmate Station between leaders of the gangs and the UEE group. Before the negotiations could take place, several members from the gangs snuck through ventilation system in the station and into the docking ports where a UEE Navy RSI Polaris and an ambassadors Anvil Carrack were docking. The crew proceeded to hijack the ships killing several UEE naval personnel and taking them hostage. A day later, the gangs sent one of the hostages through the Stanton jump gate in a small ship to inform the UEE Navy that all the hostages would be set free if the UEE Navy delivered one RSI Perseus, Polaris, an undisclosed amount of auec, and weapons to Checkmate Station. The UEE Navy declined. Out of the 15 hostages that were taken 10 were put to death immediately.

THE ESCAPE:
The gangs knew that once the UEE gathered all of the resources they needed that they would invade Pyro and remove all of its inhabitants to claim the system. To prevent this from happening the gangs formed a temporary pact in order to steal two warships from the UEE Navy to lock down the Stanton jump gate into Pyro System. The gangs thought the second warship delivery was a guarantee by holding the hostages and did not anticipate the UEE Navy would not negotiate. This left the gangs in a vulnerable situation because the Rough/Ready now had a capital warship (the Polaris) that was still at the station, and their intentions of using this ship now that the plan had failed was unknown. The other gangs called for a meeting to try and establish another ransom with the remaining UEE Navy hostages but there was no reply. Two weeks later MSgt Mayhem and another confidential member code name “Darkreaper”, were able to escape from their cells, free the other hostages, and made their way to the stations hanger and escape with the Carrack.

THE CREATION:
Unknown to the hostages, the UEE had wiped all records of the event for fear of embarrassment and backlash from the Stanton leaders. A report was made by the UEE Navy that a small group of members from their navy, had killed the their crewmates and stolen the warship in an attempt to flee through the Pyro jump gate, but were later neutralized by the fleet posted at the gate. As the hostages now free attempted to re-enter Stanton, they were met by a fleet of UEE Navy vessels and fire upon. The small crew were able to flee, but now abandoned and with no place to go, made a small settlement on Terminus (Pyro VI) until they could plan their next move. The small former miliary crew now known as the “WASTELANDERS” taken from the original mission’s name, seeks to rebuild and survive.

This is a very diverse ORG with a few of our members who desire to be a “Jack of all trades”. Our members are free to play how they want and to enjoy the game as they want.

Manifesto

The WASTELANDERS is an org where all members are valued and supported by the leadership. We encourage our members to play how they want to play in a drama free environment. Currently we are a small org but are looking to build relationships with members of other orgs to form alliances to aid in not only our progression, but theirs as well. The vision of the org is to be well rounded in all career paths with all of the following ships currently in possession by the org leaders.
