This is XMC:
If the apparent separateness of reality is emergent rather than fundamental, perhaps our universe is itself only one manifestation of a deeper structure—and perhaps what we call “the universe” is actually a closed physical manifold from which other manifolds cannot normally be reached.
Founded By Doctor Avangrod Carcosa, the Xenovertex Manifold Conglomorate was a startup gathering different scientific organizations together to collaborate on projects most other facilities would not touch, being too risky or too radical. Bordering on fringe science, it is one of the known systems great think tanks, yet the public remains fairly unaware of its existence. The government is strongly aware of its existence and often pressures the organization who is completely independent and autonomous. But as the Conglomerate grows, so they bring more attention to themselves.
This is a lifelong dream that Avangrod set out to prove. The theoretical work is done, the only way to prove the hypothesis is to develop the technology and this is kept a deep secret, but somewhere in the carved out core of a large asteroid/ small planetoid he has his lab and carries out his work.
The Xenovertex Manifold is a theoretical model of an infinite-dimensional geometrical reality containing individual universes as distinct spacetime objects. Our universe is one such object: a four-dimensional spacetime brane governed internally by its own physical laws. Other universes may occupy different dimensional orientations or regions of the manifold and may possess entirely different physical properties. A Xenovertex is a point within the greater manifold at which two or more otherwise distinct universes intersect. Whether such intersections naturally occur, what happens when they do, and whether an artificial connection can be established remain unknown. The central scientific objective of the Xenovertex Manifold Conglomerate is to develop a means of detecting, reaching, and eventually forming a controlled pathway through the Xenovertex Manifold to other universes, with the ultimate goal of discovering and making contact with intelligent life beyond the boundaries of our own universe.
The ultimate objective
1. Understand our universe
Determine the mathematical and physical structure of our own 4-D universe.
2. Understand higher-dimensional space
Determine whether our universe exists within a larger multidimensional manifold.
3. Find evidence of other universe-objects
Determine whether other universes exist elsewhere within that manifold.
4. Detect Xenoverteces
Determine whether two or more universes naturally intersect.
5. Understand the interaction
Determine what actually happens when universes intersect.
6. Manipulate the geometry
Determine whether a Xenovertex can be created, enlarged, stabilized, or otherwise manipulated.
7. Establish a pathway
Develop a controllable path between our universe and another.
8. Make contact
Determine whether intelligent life exists there.
9. Establish communication
If intelligent life is found, attempt communication.
10. Determine whether contact is safe
The primary purpose of XVMC is scientific discovery without unnecessary bureaucracy and compartmentalization amongst its scientists.Often working outside of UEE jurisdiction, they take care of what they need regardless of what UEE government officials might have to say.
