Yellow Buoy Technical Services Ltd is an independent engineering and transport company specialising in ship maintenance, recovery, repair and logistics. We keep ships operational, cargo moving and crews on their way. Practical people, reliable service. “You Break it, we fix it.”
History
Yellow Buoy Technical Services Ltd is the rebirth of an independent maritime engineering company that operated from the Humber Estuary in the United Kingdom on Earth between 1985 and 2005. The original company provided maintenance, repairs, transport and general engineering support to commercial and private marine operators, building a reputation for practical work and dependable service.
After closing in 2005, the Yellow Buoy name remained dormant for many years. With the continued expansion of commercial spaceflight and the growing demand for capable independent contractors, the company was re-established under the same name, adapting its experience in maritime engineering to a new generation of ships and equipment.
Today, Yellow Buoy Technical Services Ltd provides engineering, transport, recovery and logistical support. The company remains independent and practical in its approach: turn up, work out what is wrong, and get the job done.

Yellow Buoy Technical Services Ltd is here to do useful work.
We fix ships, move cargo, recover equipment and generally help out when something needs doing and we’re not particularly interested in making a big deal about it.
The company was built around good engineering, capable crews and getting things done without too much fuss. That hasn’t changed, even if the ships have got a bit bigger and the distances a lot further.
I take the work as it comes, look after our people, look after the equipment and try not to leave things in a worse state than we found them.
That’s about it, really.

1. What We Do
Yellow Buoy provides engineering, transport, recovery and logistical support. Members are free to take on the work that interests them, whether that’s keeping ships running, moving cargo or helping someone out of a difficult situation.
2. How We Operate
We keep things fairly simple. Work together when it makes sense, help each other when it’s needed, and don’t create problems where there aren’t any.
3. Our Crews
Everyone brings something different to the company. Pilots, engineers, haulers, explorers, support crews and anyone else who enjoys getting involved are welcome.
4. Company Ships & Equipment
Company assets are there to be used. Look after them, use some common sense, and report anything that needs attention. Nobody expects a ship to stay spotless, but there’s no reason to make a mess of it either.
5. Contracts & Jobs
Yellow Buoy operates as an active service company. When members are online and available, they are expected to remain on call for company jobs and respond when work comes in.
Jobs may include engineering, transport, recovery, logistics or other work appropriate to the company’s operations. Members are free to pursue their own activities when there are no company jobs requiring attention.
Being on call does not mean sitting around waiting for work. Members are free to carry out their own activities while remaining available to respond when required.
6. Combat
Yellow Buoy is a non-combat organisation. We do not seek out, participate in or take contracts for combat operations.
Our crews are, however, entitled to defend themselves, their passengers, their cargo and company assets when necessary. Defensive action should be limited to what is reasonably required to escape or protect those involved.
We fix things. We move things. We don’t go looking for fights.
7. Conduct
Don’t be an arse. Treat other members with respect, don’t deliberately cause trouble for the company or its members, and use some common sense.
8. The Important Bit
Yellow Buoy is here to give people a reason to fly together, learn new roles, make some money and have a good time.
