Zero State / ZEROSTATE

Founded in the early 21st Century from early transhumanist and techno-progressivist roots, Zero State (ZS) was born as a Social Futurist network and think-tank, dedicated to positive social change through technology. Early pioneers in cooperative network protocols, the organisation and its forks played a modest yet significant role in the development of distributed autonomous communities.

As mankind stretched out into the solar system, establishing satellites and then colonies, the majority of the expansion was dominated by government and corporate interests. ZS were instrumental in creating some of the first SwarmGov networks: extra-national, extra-corporate means of providing community support and social justice advocacy services across the frontier. Along with some fully-independent colonies, ZS also contracted to develop infrastructure for a number of private and public concerns whenever it could engage them in a Principled manner.

Today, Zero State’s broad virtual, distributed network of citizens pursues its goals in a number of major areas, including: quality-of-life tech R&D, inter-species trade and policy analysis, conflict resolution, first contact protocols and existential threat assessment.
