Medrunner offers a free-of-charge emergency response service until Star Citizen allows us to complete our vision.

MEDRUNNER INTRODUCTION

Medrunner is focused on one clear goal; to provide a premium emergency medical response and extraction service. Our teams of skilled Medical Technicians and Safety Specialists are certified through our proprietary training institute, the Medrunner Academy, so that every response is professional and exceptional. We want players to be able to step into this org and have all the tools they need to take part in Medrunner operations at their own pace and independently. This is accomplished by utilizing a custom-built automated Dispatch system, which coordinates team members and communicates basic mission details near instantaneously. Joining a Medrunner Team and going on a mission will be as easy as pressing a button.

Medrunner is a for-profit enterprise. We market our premium services in exchange for UEC. This income will allow us to provide our staff with the ships, gear, medical equipment, training, and infrastructure that is necessary to support them as Aviators, Medical Technicians and Security Specialists. Ensuring our operations are sustainable enables Medrunner to perform missions at all scales, including assisting UEE, Corporate, and local authorities with emergency medical response to disasters and attacks.

The core of this sustainable concept is the Medrunner Subscription Plan and the Enterprise Plan. For a reasonable monthly fee, Star Citizen players and corporations will have the ability to call Medrunner from anywhere, to anywhere, for immediate medical response to both PvE and PvP scenarios. These subscriptions are tiered so our clients can find the perfect plan that fits their UEC budget.

Why call Medrunner? When you use a standard medical beacon, you never know if anyone will respond or if they’ll have the ability to overcome the challenging situation you found yourself a victim of. By calling Medrunner, you will have peace of mind knowing that a team of certified professionals will be dispatched to your location, immediately.

Medrunner is a service that is exclusive to Star Citizen, thanks to the unique gameplay opportunities made available. With our real-world professional IT and Finance Departments, Medrunner is legitimately building the infrastructure and training environment it needs in order to provide an immersive, functional, and high quality service to the Star Citizen Community that is easy to jump into.

Who is this Org intended for:

Medrunner is looking for both experienced players who are searching for a challenge, and new players with an interest in the gameplay we provide and who want a guided introduction into the game. The Medrunner Academy will ensure that everyone can learn at their own pace, while experienced players are able to rapidly join our operations. Responding to emergencies provides our players with fresh and stimulating experiences every day. You never know what the next call might bring, so it is essential to understand how our teams operate and how to be effective. We believe that our rescue missions will be a rewarding experience, and that our automated systems will make it both easy and fun. Medrunner is a wholly immersive experience, as our organization is meant to feel like a “real” in-universe corporation, for both our players and our clients.

How to get involved:

FAQ

Visit our website for more information.

What is Medrunner?

Medrunner is a community of people for the game Star Citizen (known as “Organization” or “Org”) which focuses on armed search and rescue operations as a service for players in the game.

Does Medrunner charge real money for its services?

No. Medrunner never has and never will charge real money for its services. In the future, Medrunner service will be accessible through a monthly fee of in-game currency (UEC). As of now, all services are completely free of charge.

Why does Medrunner only focus on medical gameplay?

Medrunner’s vision is to be a premium rescue service for a monthly UEC fee, not an org that provides every kind of gameloop. Our unique service combines medical and security gameplay aspects into an exciting mix. Running such a service takes a lot of effort. For this to be achievable, we focus all our resources on acquiring ships, weapons and tools for our members. Of course, members can partake in other Star Citizen gameplay while not on duty.

Why does Medrunner use its own emergency report System outside of the game?

In-game beacons light a big fire at the location you are. There is a risk of attracting pirates and other hostile players when calling help through a public beacon. With Medrunner Emergency Dispatch you can be sure that a fully equipped Medrunner Team is on the way to save you within minutes. Additionally it gives us the ability to sell different service tiers for in-game currency (UEC) through a customer portal which is currently in development. Medrunner Emergency Dispatch also gives us the opportunity to collect data on our operations and review our performance.

Why does Medrunner plan to charge in-game currency (UEC) in the future?

Procuring and repairing ships and equipment is expensive. In order to realize Medrunner’s vision, the funds gained from the monthly fee will be used to equip members with said equipment instead of investing valuable time into grinding in-game currency which could otherwise be used to rescue clients. We want to make it very easy to our members to go on-duty and not worry about losing their gear. It is our goal to create a 24/7 service with this system and this wouldn’t be possible without UEC funds from clients.

Is Medrunner focused on Roleplay?

No. Medrunner is a real in-game service. Roleplay is not something Medrunner focuses on. Instead, we try to offer a certain degree of immersion for our clients without forcing members to partake in roleplaying.

Is Medrunner a Mil-Sim organization?

Just like roleplay, Medrunner does not try to be a military simulation (milsim) community. However, we have guidelines and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) in place to make sure our teams are effective.

Does Medrunner advertise itself in the in-game global chat?

No. Medrunner members do not advertise the organization in global chat. Anyone claiming to be part of Medrunner in-game and advertising its service is most likely lying and we encourage you to report any case of this happening to our Moderation Team through the support-and-contact channel on our Discord server.

How do I join Medrunner?

You can apply to become part of Medrunner through the RSI organization page and following the instructions.
Please join our Discord before you apply.

Is there an activity requirement while being a member of Medrunner?

No, Medrunner does not require its members to have a certain amount of active playtime. People play Star Citizen for fun and do not wish to be forced to play a certain way.

Do I need to pledge for ships in order to join Medrunner?

No, while a list of recommended ships for conducting rescue missions exists, it is not required to own any of them to join Medrunner.

Can I join other organizations while being with Medrunner?

Yes. We actually encourage members to join other organizations to experience the other gameloops Star Citizen has to offer. The only restrictions in this case are joining other medical orgs running their own service or orgs that partake in pirate activities.

Charter

TERMS OF SERVICE

These terms and conditions create an agreement between you (the “Client”) and Medrunner Rescue Services (“Medrunner”). Please read the agreement carefully.

INTRODUCTION TO OUR SERVICES

This agreement governs the client’s use of Medrunner’s services (e.g. medical services), through which the client can contract a Medrunner medical team to come to their aid.

By initiating an emergency call, the client accepts the following terms of service:
- Medrunner is a player-run in-game rescue service only available in the LIVE version of Star Citizen (Public Universe, PU). Any emergencies initiated for the Public Test Universe (PTU) will be denied.
- Medrunner cannot guarantee that a rescue team will be available for an initiated emergency call. While 24/7 coverage is the norm, times of low or no activity exist which may result in longer-than-usual response times or no response at all.
- Medrunn
er is bound by the technical state of Star Citizen. The organization strives to provide a consistent and immersive service, but as Star Citizen is still in active development, periods of sub-par or unplayable game performance will prohibit Medrunner from providing its services.
- Medrunner announces the current status of its service publicly on social media and in the public announcements channel on Discord.
- Medrunner does not rescue players from the Klescher Rehabilitation Facility.
- Medrunner does not provide ship/cargo/equipment retrieval services.
- The client will cooperate with Dispatch and the responding team, answering any questions in a timely manner and following orders given if necessary. Refusal to follow orders can and will result in restraining measures being taken by Medrunner personnel or the alert being canceled entirely.

Medrunner rescues both lawful and criminal players, except for any of the reasons stated below:

Medrunner strives to rescue its clients out of any situation. However, the organization reserves the right to deny a rescue for any reason if:
- Dispatch or the responding team deem it necessary. Reasons include, but are not limited to:
- The client being located in an area either inaccessible through normal gameplay means or known to be causing extensive technical problems for team members.
- The client being located in an area containing an overwhelming hostile player force.
- Medrunner personnel have reason to assume that the client initiated the alert with hostile intent.
- Medrunner personnel have reason to assume the client has engaged in griefing or targeted player attacks.

Engaging in any sort of hostility towards Medrunner personnel can and will result in the client and any accomplices being blocklisted from future service. Reasons include, but are not limited to:
- Hostilities towards Dispatch or the responding rescue team either through written form or through in-game actions.
- Initiating an emergency call with the intent to ambush the responding rescue team.
- Being part of an organization which has previously engaged in targeted attacks against Medrunner personnel.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY UEE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MEDRUNNER BE LIABLE FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE MEDRUNNER TEAM’S ACTIONS, HOWEVER CAUSED, REGARDLESS OF PERCEIVED LIABILITY AND EVEN IF THE CLIENT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Medrunner reserves the right at any time to modify this agreement and to add new or additional terms or conditions on your use of the Service. Such modifications and additional terms and conditions will be effective immediately and incorporated into this agreement. Your continued use of the service will be deemed acceptance thereof.
