I've written a set of control bindings and an associated guide targeted at Star Citizen version 4.0, for a Virpil HOSAS+Throttle setup: a Constellation Alpha Left and Right with a MongoosT-50CM3 throttle. The name "Lancet" is referring to the medical instrument: a double-edged scalpel. This is intended to invoke the ideas of precision and versatility, and highlight the use of dual joysticks. I focused on trying to test bindings before assigning them. Rather than look through the full list of bindings and try to pack as many of them as possible on the controller buttons, I focused on what is necessary and most useful for flight, combat, mining, and salvaging. I've played using these bindings, and I plan to continue to provide updates for any issues I find. As part of the research for making these, I wrote a full guide to almost every binding in the game: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/3/thread/star-citizen-3-24-4-0-guide/7560033 Features In addition to normal flight, supports mining, salvage, and combat. An attempt was made to group related bindings; the right stick is generally combat and action while the left stick is generally movement and ship controls. The bindings are fully documented! Not only are there two reference cards, one for the sticks and another for the throttle, the associated document describes all the bindings, includes mnemonics, and contains a walkthrough for using the bindings to take off, QT to a city harbor space station, and land. Notes The throttle has less important bindings and can be omitted, but note that the associated bindings XML file has almost all flight bindings cleared for the keyboard. Feedback and suggestions are welcome! Enjoy. Future Plans Considering making changes to the targeting bindings, which are the ones I've experimented with the least. Known Issues None at this time. Version 1.7 Added binding to leave remote turrets. Fixed vehicle tractor beam increase/decrease distance bindings; they were inverted. Inverted turret pitch per personal taste. Version 1.6 An additional MFD is accessible from the MFD HAT: Holding right now opens the Communications page. You now press and hold the HAT to open the Power Distribution page. The exterior lights and exterior camera view bindings were swapped. This makes the exterior camera binding much more accessible. I play Star Citizen on Gentoo Linux with the KDE Plasma desktop environment.
