Argo SRV - towed ships are glitched after tow

I'm not even going to bother with an IC report until they fix the process. so for now i'll put it here

I found an abandoned andromeda in the yela asteroid belt. I connected the tractor beam from the SRV to the andromeda and towed it through quantum successfully to HUR-L3 where my wife was waiting with a vulture to scrape it. However, when I disengaged the tractor beam the andromeda was completely glitched out. It was like it was completely attached to my SRV and it followed every move I made with no affect on the SRV. It was lost all of its physics collision. I could not reattach, could not detach, my wife could not interact with it in the vulture, and I EVA'd to try to get inside and my maxlife beam went right through it and when I got closer so did I. My physical body went right through the connie.

Hoping this gets seen and addressed especially because the SRV is being sold on the store right now.

If you haven't already please make sure to contribute to STARC-96961, this covers the issue you've experienced and looks like plenty of others have had the same problem.

BTW, are there no towing missions yet? There are scraping missions. - How is one to devotedly play with an SRV? Surely not by waiting for a player ship to become stranded. (But are there rescue beacons with towing requests?)

there are indirect missions that you need to use it, for example, salvage missions the ship is often inside the distance from the station that attracts fines if you try to fracture\disintegrate a ship, which is a 20k aUEC fine, you also need to tow it out of the same area to use FPS tractor beams, if you want to remove components, weapons or cargo.

your choices are to move a ship out of the area, are the SRV which can tow large ships at speed, but can only QT with them if they are <500t, else ships like the Vulture, Fortune or the MPUV Tractor can tow them at ~10m/s without braking the TB tether.

not fracture\disintegrate a ship to avoid a fine of 20k aUEC can leave quite a large amount of CM behind, given on some ships the RMC alone dose not cover the cost, while ships like the MOLE, the 8 x 12SCU bags are worth removing, as they are worth 52k aUEC (i recommend a MOLE or prospector with bags removed to collect them, else a RAFT (works well), putting them in normal ship holds causes them to intersect the floor, which can explode the ship upon trying to remove them)

take a 400i for example, you can move one in QT so you can collect it, they often have 12SCU or so of mixed cargo some of which is 1SCU amounts of gold and quantanium, but a bulk is low value scrap and food etc, if you have an F7A Mk II, and want some CF repeaters, then you can get 2 x S4 and 4 x S3 off it, which saves you money there, and given you can move it in QT with the SRV, you can bring it to the station you operate out of mainly, and drop it far enough from the station that people wont see you working, but close enough its a short run back to the station.

Hm, so get salvage mission and hope to make enough money with anything but salvaging it. I am worrying my investment in an SRV is not as fun as I thought. Well, OK, maybe someone actually does need a towing at some point. 500 tons limit is of course limiting the fun a bit, too. What if the mass is greater? I don't imagine several SRVs can tow then and QT together. Are bigger ships generally not towable?
And then there's the gravity thing. Last I remember that limits max. towable mass further.

I found a use hauling abandoned ships to a central "scrapyard" then selling them to salvagers. Almost like the salvage missions, but player to player. I would invite them to a chat group and charge a "entry fee" to the salvage yard lol

If no one bit, I would salvage what I could from the ships (guns / cargo / inventory) to sell on.

I Melted my SRV. All it ever did was give me a crime stat.
