Invictus marks the beginning of the new year for UEE Navy recruits and celebrates the graduation of the latest crew members and officers. The event's origins date back to 2541 and the First Tevarin War, when the United Planets of Earth (the UEE’s predecessor) would send transport ships to collect new recruits for basic training. The locals would gather to celebrate those leaving to defend Humanity and marvel at the impressive military ships docked at port.
Today, Invictus Launch Week is celebrated in most UEE systems with high-flying public demonstrations from the Naval fleet. As an added attraction, the galaxy's top shipbuilders showcase the vehicles they supply to the military and make their civilian counterparts available to rent and purchase.
