A $40000 legatus package! Is Star Citizen Pay 2 win?

During an Org meeting, the topic of pay 2 win was discussed and I wanted to share my thoughts on the highly controversial subject. Star Citizen raises funds by selling ships for players to use in game. CIG has released yet another iteration of the infamous Legatus package available to backers who have achieved a certain level of funding. It is a highly contentious topic and brings thoughts of pay 2 win.
