Intended as a heavy troop deployment platform, the Anvil HUSSAR brings the best of anvil manufacturing to bear. This fearsome heavyweight boasts features such as a rapid deployment ramp, a vehicle garage with capacity to hold Anvil’s own atlas-chassis vehicles, as well as a rear airlock which can double as a dedicated docking port for Anvil's Legionnaire. An entire platoon of UEE marines can bunk, eat, stage, and deploy from this long range heavy dropship.
[Had some fun "kitbashing" a bunch of current Anvil ships and concepts together. Felt Anvil needed something between the Valk and the Carrack's size. Something similar in function and size to the M2 but more troop oriented and with minimal cargo capacity. It also seems silly that the smallest Anvil ship that could carry a Spartan (made by Anvil) would be the Liberator. So I took the idea of bespoke Anvil vehicle support within the Hussar and applied it also to the Legionnaire as well. Having a "Legionnaire Bay" in the rear where the smaller dropship can hitch a ride tucked up behind the larger one seemed like a good use of brand identity as well as function with the Hussar able to act as high orbit command and support without needing to risk the full ship on every mission. The vehicle garage can be used for modest cargo (like the Valk) if extended deployment resources are desired instead. I also wanted a troop ship with a natural intuitive flow of bunks, mess hall, nearby elevator a la fireman's pole, armory jumpseats, and a two way hallway for loading up either a Spartan or a Legionnaire. Hope you dig it! o7]
