Die Magda Sandhöhlenwanze: Neue Lebensform?

Mit den neuen Sandhöhlen, welche es auch Wala, Magda, Ita und Daymar gibt, ist scheinbar auch eine neue Lebensform ins Verse einbezogen. Bei einer meiner Untersuchungen einer Sandhöhle auf Magda bin ich zufällig auf herumkrabbelndes Leben gestoßen.

Die kleinen Wanzen leben scheinbar unter dem Sand und graben sich ab und zu aus um darüber hinweg zu laufen bevor sie sich wieder eingraben. Dabei stoßen sie ab und zu kleine Sandfontänen in die Höhe, die ihre Körperlänge um ein Vielfaches übertreffen.

Sie haben 2 Fühler am Kopf, der Kopf geht direkt in das Apdomen über welches relativ Spitz am Ende zuläuft. Sie ähneln daher den Wanzen von der Erde nur dass der Kopf nicht so deutlich ausgeprägt ist.
Die Körperform ist sehr flach. Sie schwarz gefärbt. der Kopf ist grau, sie haben einen gelben Bruststreifen und am hinteren Teil des Abdomens einen Roten und einen blassgrünen Streifen. Das Ende des Abdomens ist grau gefärbt die Drüse am Ende des Abdomens ist schwarz.

Bei ersten Versuchen scheinen sie sich von der Amioshi Plague zu ernähren. Es ist noch nicht bekannt ob es sich um eine neue Lebensform handelt oder um eine frühe Larvenform der schon bekannten Steinwanze. Die Körperform und das Verhalten würden aber für eine neue Lebensform sprechen.
Dies werden dann aber erst zukünftige Versuche und Untersuchungen zeigen.

With the new sand caves, which also exist on Wala, Magda, Ita and Daymar, a new life form is apparently also included in the verse. During one of my investigations of a sand cave on Magda, I happened to come across life crawling around.

The little bugs seem to live under the sand and occasionally dig themselves out to walk over it before burrowing back in. As they do so, they occasionally kick up small fountains of sand that exceed their body length many times over.

They have 2 antennae on the head, the head goes directly into the apdomen which is relatively pointed at the end. They therefore resemble earth bugs except that the head is not so distinct.

The body shape is very flat. They are black in colour, the head is grey, they have a yellow thoracic stripe and at the back of the abdomen a red and a pale green stripe.

The end of the abdomen is grey coloured the gland at the end of the abdomen is black.

In first tests they seem to feed on the Amioshi Plague. It is not yet known whether this is a new life form or an early larval form of the already known stone bug. However, the body shape and behaviour would suggest a new life form.

However, only future experiments and investigations will show this.
