Hey Star Citizens! Just as a warning, this is the first time I played around with Blender and kitbashing ship models.

I'd like to present my take on a refueling module using the Drake Caterpillar. I found a model of the Caterpillar on Sketchfab by CsharpGamer and used Blender to build out this module.

Using assets from the MISC Starfarer, I began the exercise to see if the pods would even fit in the cargo section of the Caterpillar's frame, surprisingly they slipped in like they were made for it. The Drake Caterpillar Refueling module features five fuel pods and one refining pod, as opposed to the six fuel pods and two refining pods the Starfarer has. As you can see in these images, I removed part of the side elevator to expose the fuel tanks. I also added the Starfarer's fuel boom to what was the tractor beam control room opposite the Command module, which now is the refueling control center. This room is actually perfect for this job, as it has a clear view of the fuel tanks as well as the fuel boom.

Once I was happy with how the model looked in Blender (Greybox...whitebox...some kinda box?!) I first imported the model to UE5 to add material to the model. As I went forward with this project, I decided it looked better if the fuel tanks were further exposed, so I stripped the elevator doors all the way off and exposed the fuel tanks and refinery pod completely.

I then realized I was dumb and just how easy it is to add textures and colors to the different components inside Blender without having to import everything to UE5, so I played around and ended up with this. I decided to go with a hazard-style color scheme for this Caterpillar, cause you know...flammable liquids and all that.

Anyway, hope you like it. I'm thinking of taking this Caterpillar module project further, maybe doing a repair module and a torpedo module (<.<) at some point. If you have any ideas for other modules, please let me know, I'm happy to play around with this further.
