Over the years there have been lots of people who sign in and ask what they can do for money when they have nothing but a ship.  You can take this mission around Hurston if you prefer ground missions over doing combat assist.

If you have nothing in the game and your totally broke, this is how you can do 1 mission and earn up to 95k doing the mission "Evict Illegal Occupants".  I went in with basic flight suit.  I finished the mission for $30k, then gained $55-65k selling.
