Greetings citizens, On my first post and review I will be covering my thoughts on the Buccaneer. Since this is my first real post please be kind enough to rate it in comments So let me begin.

Buccaneer first impressions: When I initially saw the Buccaneer those big engines stood out right away and my first impression is that it reminded me of the reliable tough US Air Force A - 10 Wart Hog , The Buccaneer is not overly pretty to look at but it gives off a personality and look that says it is a brawler. It is able to accept a good load out of weapons, The load out looks awesome with the various gun options the buccaneer looks to be able to deal with most if not all fighter scenarios. But. to me it could handle having at least one or two more hard points for at least smaller class 1 missile options. I like the fact that the creature comforts are dismissed for a more functional utilitarian concept that addresses what the craft is intended for. It is straight to the point and no unnecessary bells and whistles .

Buccaneer performance : On my first test flight I just went for a short free flight I had a bad internet connection but I was still impressed. It seems very maneuverable and powerful and compares well to other fighters. In my opinion the view from cockpit is not as good as the Gladius but it is more than adequate . The speed and agility was good , the fire power was better than good. I made changes in the load out and am pleased with the results. I would say that a few more missile options would be great.

Buccaneer in a dog fight : I took the Buccaneer into the Arena. I had a load out of 2 x Tarantula GT-870 on the top turret, 2x Klaus & Werner CF-227 Panther on each wing , 2x Omnisky III laser cannons on the wing tips. And 4 x Tempest Proximity CS Missile .Even with the bad internet connection I was impressed with the Buccaneer. It handled much better than expected. It had plenty of fire power when it came to the guns I just need to adjust the load out a bit to fit my fighting style. I also still think a few more missiles would be great. To describe it is to image a knife fight . Your opponents out number you and they have knives But you have a big Bowie knife or Kurkuri in each hand. They better keep their distance while jumping in fast cutting you then jump away. If they get close for too long you will brutally hack them in half. Over all I like the Buccaneer and plan to keep one in my hanger. so far this will be my go to fighter in most cases. It is better than adequate. I did have problems locking in and firing missiles.

Buccaneer suggestions or improvement : I like the Buccaneer very much. But there are a few improvements I would like to see. First I do understand the importance of balance in the game. and I do understand the value in that. But I also believe that there should be a few exceptions to the rule. For example there are better fighters in this game at least better in areas that the Buccaneer may not exactly match. I am sure that there are some that will be even better later on in development of the game . So a few exceptions should be considered. First as far as looks go it is not the smoothest look but it does look tough,Those big engines are what really stand out then secondary the armament is impressive . But while the Buccaneer has a lots of effective firepower that rivals larger fighters and it is some what tough it should have a higher hard core survival rating . I will
refer to the above analogy of the Knife fight I used to describe my test flights in the Arena. If you give it out you should be able to also take it. Basically since it has given up comfort there is room for other things. The first priority it could stand to be tougher and harder to kill so add a few points to harden it. Then add few more missiles options. Unless something else better suited comes along, I intend to make the Buccaneer my main go to fighter when SC finally launches as a full game. The first thing I would do Over all good Job Drake.
