My Resupply Stanton Experience

I have to muster the strength not to use swearwords so this article will not be hidden

So, here we are. Superexcited that the update has arrived. I was hoping the patch would solve some of the ongoing issues, but the only issue I found was solved was the personal elevators work better now.

I was doing the small resupply mission. Only 13 Copper, 13 Corundum. Ease into it, I think. Have a relaxing session. Well yesterday it was nearly impossible to buy anywhere, because players were piling up at outposts and stations. That's no problem, I am pepared for that. But when I finally got my wares, the elevators at outposts didn't work. Not a single one. Still...

And when I returned to my hangar to log off for the night after achieving basically nothing, I somehow hit an invisible wall again and exploded. So that bug still exists.

I managed to jump back in today. I had bought the 13 Corundum, I only needed 13 Copper. And Microtec was the right place to be. The copper was at 4 SCU when I joined and rose to 12 SCU over me waiting there 20 minutes or more. I bought the twelve, before some guys appeared and took over the console. Fine, I waited. Surely they would let me buy the remaining one. Of course not. I flew to Port Tressler and waited in line with half a dozen guys and got my Copper. Surprisingly smooth that. I kept it at the station, because I didn't want people taking it from my cargo hold when loading. I'd just pick it up later.

So I went to the Corundum place and actually found 1 working elevator among a chaos of ships loading and waiting for their spot there. I quickly loaded my wares and was lucky only friendly players were around. I flew back to Port Tressler to get the Copper. Finally I have everything (this is day 2, right). And when I entered my hangar, my ship flickered and two other ships appeared. I suddenly got a warning I was in someone's hangar and ran out, in order not to get shot. I didn't get teleported out, I took the elevator. My ship of course had to be claimed and the Corundum was gone.

Now, I went on another server, loaded the Copper this time, and flew back to the outpost, waited, was pretty lucky and got my 12 Corundum after a refresh. But again all elevators were broken. I flew like 10km away to log out in bed, but no matter how far I flew, the game kept telling me I am in the landing zone. So I went back to Port Tressler and parked my ship, actually stored it properly, because I still had the copper inside. I needed to reconnect to hopefully find a server with working elevators. After reconnecting my ship sank through the hangar floor and became claimable again. Now I lost my Copper, too. So I have my 2nd load of Corundum waiting for me at an outpost with broken elevators and then I can fly off to get another load of Copper aswell. This feels like I am trapped in a backdoors like gameloop, only it is a Sci-Fi one.

This game is impossible to play and the cargo elevators need to work reliably. I had exactly zero fun doing this, while I had a lot of fun just looting components and stripping ships in Pyro. Maybe make a mission out of things that work ,CIG, not using the half-broken systems we have right now. These were terrible two days and Star Citizen ist becoming one of the worst games I have ever played. My personal opinion; even for an Alpha that is terrible.
