04/25/2955 - Operation: Hammer Blow

Planning for this operation began nearly a month prior, with investigations stretching back nearly a year. This report outlines a planned three-tier assault on the Reaper Arms dealing network at a Distribution Center (DC) on Microtech. The organizer hired the Nightfall Alliance to test their security.

The Alliance formed at Port Tressler, loading personnel and equipment onto vessels. The security team immediately boarded a prepped Starlancer and flew to S4DL01 DC. Upon exiting QT, the pilot descended to an altitude just above the treetops, maintaining concealment to within 2km behind a ridge where the pilot found a suitable landing zone. The copilot scanned a 15km radius, observing a Polaris, two fighters, a Constellation, and a Corsair. Power was adjusted to reduce signature during the approach, the vessel landed, and the team disembarked.

The security team escorted an Ursa Medevac to within 1km of the DC, parked it under tree cover, powered it down, and advanced the remaining 800m on foot. Upon reaching the treeline, they conducted a tactical pause, observing two rooftop personnel with long rifles, a parked Hornet, and multiple landed ships.

Bounding carefully, the team advanced to ground cover inside the DC perimeter, avoiding observation. From Observation Post (OP) 1, they confirmed position of the alliance and reported status. As the Alliance maneuvered toward the DC, the Polaris made a low pass (~30m) overhead, and a Cyclone TR patrol passed nearby without detecting the team. The Polaris then gained altitude and the team bounded to OP 2. There, they confirmed visual on high value target one, who was standing atop the facility. Confirmation was relayed to the Alliance as they entered DC airspace (~50km). The team moved toward OP 3 near the northern entrance but the assistant team lead deemed it too exposed, so they contined bounding overwatch to the "north" door.

As soon as the team hit the door, two hired guns exited. A brief firefight ensued; the security team incapacitated one and two facility guards who joined the engagement. The Cyclone TR patrol quickly returned from behind the team but was suppressed and destroyed by the team's automatic rifleman and the heavy weapons expert. Re-forming, the team entered the building through two sets of doors.

Inside, another hired gun was found hiding and was incapacitated. During the engagement, the team lead was wounded but self-administered aid. Two more hired guns charged the entryway while the team was stacking to breach; both were neutralized, though two security members were rendered unconscious. Medics revived them with stimulants and Hemozal, and the team continued clearing operations. Another brief firefight then occurred in the next hallway, resulting in the incapacitation of another hired gun and the injury of another security team member.

Meanwhile, two other Alliance organizations landed south of the DC, deploying infantry and armor. A dropship inserted troops onto the facility rooftop, clearing executive suites. Nova tanks clashed outside, and Alliance infantry stormed the south entrance under cover from the armor assets. Approximately eight minutes later, the security team linked with Alliance elements and completed clearing the facility. The security team then provided rooftop overwatch, engaging hostile Nova tanks and infantry as Alliance forces extracted cargo and personnel.

Hired Guns Neutralized: 11 Vehicles Destroyed: 3 Team Losses: 1

An exceptionally successful demonstration of the team's adaptability.
