@Erufen_Rito.tl;dr: unstable mess of an event, worse its been in years.
So I'm not sure what you guys were testing this week, but it doesn't work. I have 4 completed Siege of Olisar runs, out of over 100 attempts. I tried to do Blockade as well, but that just deleted my credits instead and did not allow me to complete a single run. Either my ship would arrive to station empty, the game would crash, or I would disconnect with an error 30xx. Oh, and the one time I did make it, the sale window had just closed for the next 6 hours.
"But Erufen, surely you realize the issue is likely your potato"
And you'd be wrong!
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz (12 CPUs), ~3.2GHz Memory: 32768MB RAM Available OS Memory: 32710MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 12 Card name: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
It's not a lack of power, It's a lack of optimization. And I get it. The game is being worked on. As such, this is feedback on the work you've presented for testing.
It is the worst it has been in years. I tried to get some of my friends onboard, and I made the mistake of bringing them along this week. No one is interested in pledging. They say the game is pretty, and the flight model feels good, and so do the guns. But it is just so unstable and buggy and laggy they got fed up 4 hours and like 20 collective crashes/disconnects in. Half of them didn't make it to Orison, and after 6 hours of trying and crashing and disconnecting, they all had enough and uninstalled.
So!
Unless you are sure your servers can take the strain of an event plus free flight, how about not doing both at once?
