Pride Month 2954

So, I've only been playing Star Citizen about a month, but I loved the theming around the restaurants and food establishments, and when this contest came up, I figured I'd give my contribution. So this is what I think Ermer Farms would do for Pride, as they already make ice cream, so to me it makes sense to make the jump to cakes!

So, I set to work making a good white cake and dyeing it several different colors, layering them together to make rainbow cakes and baking them up! Afterward, I made a vanilla buttercream and, again, dyed it several colors to represent the colors of the galaxy when you're traveling through hyperspace with lots of blues, pinks, purples, and a few swirls of black. I topped that with some edible silver glitter and a few hand-placed golden candy stars.

Finally, I wanted them to have this otherworldly feel, almost like they were harvested and I decided to take these beautiful golden butterflies and place them on top. In my mind, they are drawn to the cupcakes because of their sweetness and they crystalize due to the sugar and become this beautiful gold color. They can also just be wafers if that makes you feel better!

From there, I boxed them up, and I took the Ermer Farm's logo and did some simple photo manipulation to get the slogan around the rim of it. For those that can't read the whole thing, because I couldn't get the stickers to the PERFECT size, it reads:

"Because we're all made of stardust. Happy Pride 2954."

I made about 30 cupcakes in total, and my husband and I have been enjoying them and sharing them with neighbors, and just trying to do what the whole purpose of them was.
