April 11, 2485, is a day that has haunted mankind for nearly 500 years. On this fateful day, thousands of UEE Citizens were abruptly cut off from the rest of civilization. The jump point from the Ferron system, collapsed. The entire system was lost. No way to contact them, no way to travel there. The theoretical possibility of a jump point collapsing was now a reality. The fear of the event sent shockwaves throughout the UEE and virtually halted all further human expansion into other systems. The terror of being isolated and cut off from the rest of humanity was just something people were not willing to risk.

For years, the UEE government desperately tried, and failed, many solutions to reestablish communication with Oretani. The UEE was forced to give up the search and resigned to deploying an array of sensors through out the Ferron System where the old jump point once existed. The hope was that the jump point would one day reform on it's own. With the search officially called off and no existing issues detected along other established jump points, the fear throughout the UEE subsided and human expansion, once again, moved forward. For the thousands of families affected by this tragic event, their hope of finding their loved ones was finally lost. The events surrounding the loss of the Oretani System soon faded in time and became nothing more than a legend of mankind folklore.

That is all about to change...

In Partnership with the United Earth Mining Corporation

THE MISSION PROJECT ORETANI is headed by UEMC Exploration Division

Primary focus for the PROJECT ORETANI is to establish communication with the cut off Oretani System. Technology and Jump point research has advanced leaps ahead in comparison to the time of the collapse. Scientists have been completing exhaustive studies on jump points and other wormhole physics that have sparked renewed hopes of reestablishing a new path to the system. Research is not the only area that has hindered efforts to start new exhibitions to Oretani. Funding, Regulatory Roadblocks, and Press have all been obstacles to overcome. The costs for such exhibitions can swell into the billions of UEC. Add in the bureaucratic red tape to the mix, and it often leads to cancelled projects.

Enter the United Earth Mining Corporation (UEMC).

UEMC being the largest ore mining, refining and hauling corporation, next to Shubin Interstellar, will look to advance their mining operations into the Oretani System. UEMC Exploration Division will utilize their Science & Research department to help direct Project Oretani. The primary focus is to discover what happened to our lost relatives, the UEMC is committed to expanding mining operations into a relative untouched system. UEMC was finally able to secure permission from the UEE government to launch Project Oretani. Construction of the fleet is currently underway on Orison and other undisclosed locations.

Oretani may finally be in our grasp once again.
