Phase 4 Gudie
/
How many times do I need to complete the mission for this phase?
/
6 times.
/
Difficulty?
/
Easy and beginner friendly, as long as commodities are available for sale, otherwise, difficulty scales up.
/
Combat?
/
Not at all, it is entirely optional for those inclined to do so (see bounty hunting below).
/
Ship Requirements?
/
Ship capable of hauling cargo. Can get away with a starter sized ship (such as Intrepid or Avenger Titan) but it will mean more trips back and forth. So for an optimal choice, I would suggest a medium or even better a large sized ship capable of cargo, such as a Constellation, a Mercury Star Runner, a Cutlass Black, a Freelancer, a Starlancer, C2, Caterpillar, etc.
/
Gear Requirements?
/
Space suit, max lift tractor beam, lux cruz in your backpack for when ya get thirsty.
/
Time spent per run?
/
Anywhere from 20 min to 45 min, depending on 1. your understanding and experience with spaceflight and hauling; and 2. availability of commodities at their sale locations.
/
Summary of mission?
/
You will receive an order for 3 commodities, with scu quantities varying from 2 scu up to 16 scu (at least in my playthrough), which you need to source yourself and deliver to Pyro Gateway. The mission will detail where in Stanton you can purchase the required commodities, so ideally, you should be able to fly to the locations that sell them, buy them from the terminals at ADMIN (for space stations) or commodity terminals (for land location outposts), load them into your ship from the freight elevator, and simply deliver them to Pyro Gateway station through the freight elevator there.
/
What happens if the commodities are sold out?
/
This is a common issue when this phase is up, due to high player demand accross all servers. If this happens to you, you have a number of options: 1. Wait for inventory to refresh, if you are good at watching paint dry; 2. Mine the resources yourself and refine them, if you are dealing with a mineable resource and you are confident in your mining abilities; 3. Go bounty hunting and loot your downed ships for their cargo in hopes they will have the resource/commodity you need for your mission, if you are confident in your bounty hunting abilities.
/
Commodities for the missions?
/
There are 4 versions for this phase, each requiring particular commodities, from memory they are: Titanium, Copper, Tungsten, Agricium, Medical Supplies, Agricultural Supplies, Aluminium, Nitrogen, Helium, Hydrogen, Bexalite, Processed Food. *if i got any wrong, please let me know!*
/
Best way to approach the mission?
/
If I were you, I would accept a mission and see if I can fulfill all the requireed commodities easily, then I would purchase 6x the required amount of each and load up my ship, land at Pyro Gateway, and slowly fulfill the same mission 6 times.
/
CAUTION: DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!!
/
This is important: DO NOT put in more resources than required when fulfilling the "contract order" at the freight elevator delivery for your mission, as it will swallow everything you put in the elevator and it will be lost to the void. So for example, if you have 10 nitrogen, and the mission requires you deliver 2 nitrogen, then only put 2, do not put the other 8, or you will lose them. However, let's say your mission requires 3 nitrogen, and you have a 4scu container of nitrogen, and are happy to lose that last scu? Go for it, it will count for your mission required 3.
/
So, find your hauling ship of choice, load it up with your commodities, and slowly feed them to the Pyro Gateway freight elevator to fulfill your mission 6 times.
/
Otherwise, if you wish to do all 4 versions of the commodities for fulfilment of your 6 missions, then feel free to do so if you can find all the required commodities around Stanton.
/
And that's really it. Do this mission 6 times and you will complete Chapter 1 of Save Stanton, and the powers that be have already let us know that Chapter 2 of Save Stanton should be coming with 4.0 in the near future.
