Star Citizen - The Coffee Cup 23MAR2019

The Citizen's Coffee Company hosted another version of it's premier event "The Coffee Cup" on Saturday, March 23. The event occurred in vicinity of Eager Flats on Daymar, with roughly 50 players participating.

The defending team was given an advantage of being able to be members all from the same organization, The Shadow Vipers, but were not allowed to exceed 18 players. Their equipment included 1 RSI Aurora for recon, 2 bikes, and 2 Ursa rovers for defending Eager Flats.

Offense was given the advantage of numbers, being capped at 24 players. However, organizations could only have 1-5 members participate so the entire team was unfamiliar with each other and had to depend on communication and strength in numbers. Their equipment consisted of 1 RSI Aurora and 5 Ursa rovers.

The attacking team started their convoy 13km away from Eager Flats and was quickly intercepted by the Shadow Viper's recon Aurora. Both Auroras went toe to toe, the the Shadow Vipers knocking down the attacking teams aerial recon. The attackers drove on, again being intercepted by Shadow Viper recon bikes and had to form a defensive perimeter in order to eliminate the threat before moving to Eager Flats.

At Eager Flats, both ground elements clashed in combined arms warfare with rovers and infantry exchanging blows. All vehicles were eventually destroyed, and the battle was decided after respawns were deployed via drop ships. The Shadow Vipers were able to maintain control of the base and claimed victory over the attacking team.
