Usually, one of the best ways to encounter an Aegis Idris capital ship is during a high-level "Security Beacon" mission. Unbeknownst to us, our relentless assault managed to eliminate the ship's pilot, leaving the turret gunners neutral towards us. We seize the opportunity to explore the heavily damaged, yet still operational Idris.
Delving into its secrets, we uncover the mighty Dual Size 7, "Behring M9A" heavy laser cannons in the front turret, a rare find exclusive to the Idris and the Aegis Javelin destroyer. But our journey doesn't stop there. We will show you how to utilize the Consolidated Outland Nomad's cargo ramp to infiltrate the Idris's Main Bridge.
Gaining control of the pilot station, we commandeer the entire ship and put it through its paces. With a daring trip to the moon Ita, we repair the ship at a significant cost and even master the art of multi-crewing, combining our skills with the ship's original AI NPC gunners. Purely by chance, we had a face off against a hostile Drake Cutlass fighter who bore the brunt of our immense firepower and entertaining banter aboard the Idris. Enjoy the mayhem!
