Thanks for joining me on a flight through Sydney, Australia, Earth, Sol System.

I recently bought Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. I started experimenting with the dev kit and decided to mod the in-game Arrow asset in. Unfortunately, I cannot redistribute the mod; that is against CIG's terms of service.

Anyways, the Arrow seemed like it would fit great. It still took a ton work. I had to rework all the materials and link numerous objects up for the simulator to recognize. All animations were done from scratch: ailerons, flaps, ruddervators, engine, landing gear plus doors, and numerous cockpit controls.

I also made some geometry changes from the original game model:

> Added wheeled landing gear; Originally from the Aegis Avenger but I shrunk the pistons, enlarged the wheels, gave them room to spin and the front gear was modified for steering.

> The ailerons were tiny so I doubled their size.

> The inner "flaps" were also tiny so I added leading edge slats.

> Added two large airbrakes to the top of the fuselage near the turret.

> There is also a functional carrier wire hook, but i took it out of the video. I may make a carrier landing video soon.

I'd like to tweak the flight model a bit more as it is still using a tweaked version of the F/A-18's. Maybe I will work on the C2 Hercules or my custom Anvil Osprey next.

Oh and as always, a special thanks to the Star Citizen Modding Community.
