THE COPILOT | A Star Citizen Experience
Taking a crack at making the game sound closer to real vacuum during combat. In the future, we may have something similar to this since the audio simulation will have it's own component, which means it can be turned off, damaged, destroyed, etc.

CIG have stated that they want to make the audio simulation we have in-game to be far more in-depth than what we have now. In the near future we'll have a component that will control the audio simulation when in our ships. If that component is offline or get's destroyed, or damaged, it can affect what we hear. This could also possibly carry to FPS gameplay as well since our suits also replicate audio and taking distortion hits could cause the audio simulation to malfunction, leaving you at an awareness disadvantage.
This video is me taking another crack at conceptualizing what this would sound like for us in game. This is perhaps not a 1:1 recreation but more my own interpretation on how it could play out.
This time around I played around with the idea of thin atmospheric sounds rather than just the pure vacuum like I've done in the past.
Enjoy!
