I have put together an in depth tutorial on how to upgrade your ship's weapons using REC (Rental Equipment Credits).
This video shows you how to determine what weapons you need, based on the ship you are working on, how to determine if the weapon you want to rent is correct for the ship you are upgrading, how to rent the weapons, how to check the amount of REC you have, where and how to get REC, and finally how to verify that your changes took effect.
