Welcome to Rust-eze. Once a small company, dedicated to offering minor rust protection and treatment, now a galactic organisation with its priorities focusing on development, exploration, security and legal mercenary work. Nothing soothes an issue like rust-eeeze.

History

Historical Evolution of Rust-eze (2006–2955):

Early 21st Century (2006–2150):

Foundation and Automotive Focus: Originally established as a company specializing in medicated bumper ointments for rusty vehicles, Rust-eze gained prominence by sponsoring race car “Lightning McQueen” in the 2006 Piston Cup. McQueen’s reputation and charisma brought a considerable amount of business in, quickly developing i. brand, ii. customer loyalty, and iii. high-profile patrons.

Expansion into Space Technology (2150–2200):

Entry into Space Repairs: With the advent of space exploration and the colonization of nearby planets, Rust-eze diversified into space technology, leveraging its expertise in vehicle maintenance to offer repair services for spacecraft.

Sponsorship of Space Races: Building on its legacy in motorsports, the company began sponsoring interplanetary races, enhancing brand visibility across the solar system.

Diversification into Security Services (2200–2700):

Cargo Protection Services: Recognizing the increasing threats to space cargo, Rust-eze introduced armed escort services to ensure the safe transit of goods between colonies.

VIP Security: Capitalizing on its growing security division, the company offered protection services for high-profile individuals, including politicians, celebrities, and corporate executives traveling through space.

Transition to Mercenary Operations (2700–2955):

Mercenary Services: Responding to the demand for private military contractors in interstellar conflicts, Rust-eze expanded into mercenary work, providing well-trained personnel and advanced weaponry for various missions.

Recovery Operations: The company specialized in recovery missions, deploying armed teams to retrieve stolen assets, rescue hostages, and reclaim occupied territories.

Key Historical Figures & Their Influence on Rust-eze’s Galactic Evolution

Lightning McQueen (Born: c. 1977 – Presumed Deceased c. 2140s)

After retiring from racing in the late 21st century, McQueen became an ambassador for Rust-eze, helping the company pivot into advanced vehicle technology. He worked on early experimental propulsion systems designed for off-world travel, laying the groundwork for Rust-eze’s expansion into space. In his later years, McQueen was last seen participating in the first Interstellar Grand Prix in the 2140s, piloting the Rust-eze SolarBolt Mk I. His ship vanished near the event horizon of a rogue black hole. His fate remains a mystery, and some conspiracy theories claim he still races in a parallel dimension of time dilation.

Captain Cruz Ramirez-McQueen (Born: c. 2000 – Deceased: c. 2190):

McQueen’s Protégé & Later CEO of Rust-eze (2100–2150s). After a successful racing career, Cruz Ramirez married McQueen’s son (“Thunder McQueen”) and eventually took control of Rust-eze. She oversaw the company’s transition from race sponsorship into early spacecraft maintenance and space-racing leagues. Under her leadership, Rust-eze became the primary sponsor for the first Martian Orbital Circuit, a pioneering space race that helped accelerate humanity’s colonization efforts, and therein brand. Cruz then formed “Rust-eze: Space” and developed the first constitution for the organisation which we trade under today. Cruz developed training, organisation, branding and core principles for Rust-eze: Space, and eventually built a fleet of ships and therein established “Command” amongst the fleet. Cruz was appointed Captain, and was quickly promoted to “Honorary Admiral” (albeit, it was a title she rejected to be connected to). She then retired from her position, and refocused on a simple life as her Husband (Thunder) was killed in a Piracy incident. He son, Axel took over.

Commander Axel McQueen (Born: 2175 – Deceased: 2258)

McQueen’s Great-Great Grandson & The Pioneer of Space Security. A former racer-turned-commander, Axel McQueen left the family’s racing legacy behind and pursued a career in military contracting, which later became a speciality. After his father (Thunder McQueen) was killed in an early piracy conflict over the Titan Mining Rights, Axel saw the need for private security in the developing solar economy. He returned to Rust-eze and re-bought his shares in the corporation. He later came to lead, and under his leadership, Rust-eze Security was formed, initially specializing in anti-piracy escort missions for interstellar shipping lanes.

Commander Phoenix “Rusty” McQueen (Born: 2380 – Missing in Action: 2455)

The First Commander of Rust-eze Tactical. Phoenix was the first McQueen to officially label Rust-eze as a mercenary force rather than a security firm. Under his command, Rust-eze entered conflicts beyond the solar system, serving as contracted governmental and military aid for the Jovian War of 2430. He was famous for personally leading missions and piloting the Burnout-Class Starfighter, an ultra-fast pursuit craft inspired by Rust-eze’s racing roots. In 2455, he led a small team of 6, on a covert VIP-recovery mission in deep space. Upon recovering the VIP, their ship buckled and started to break up when escaping orbit. Phoenix took total control of the ship as it descended, and piloted it as smoothly as possible to allow the crew and VIP time to eject. Commander Phoenix didn’t return, but the rest of the party did.

Admiral Kaida “Blaze” McQueen (Born: 2662 – Current CEO as of 2955)

The Final Evolution of Rust-eze into an Elite Mercenary Empire. A direct descendant of Lightning McQueen, Kaida was born into a corporate-military dynasty and raised on Rust-eze battlecruisers. She abandoned the company’s original mission of vehicle repair and fully transitioned Rust-eze into a high-level contract mercenary force, taking on jobs for planetary governments, corporations, and even private warlords. Under Kaida’s command, Rust-eze now fields warships, elite special forces teams, and planetary enforcement divisions. She personally leads Operation Crimson Drift, a mysterious campaign against an unknown alien threat on the fringes of explored space.

Charter

Core Company Principles

Loyalty to the Contract – A signed contract is a binding oath. Employees and allies must honor their agreements unless given explicit permission from high command to renegotiate or abort.

Integrity in Operations – Rust-eze Tactical does not engage in sabotage, betrayal, or deception against clients. However, tactical misdirection against enemies is permitted.

Strength Through Unity – Internal conflicts between employees are settled off-mission through designated dispute-resolution channels—or the Combat Pit for severe cases.

Efficiency Over Excess – Ammunition, fuel, and rations are resources, not luxuries. Reckless waste is punishable by reduction in shares and suspension of privileges.

No Free Rides – Every soldier, pilot, and engineer pulls their weight. Those who consistently fail to meet expectations may be reassigned, discharged, or left behind.

Combat & Security Regulations

Fire Only with Cause – Unprovoked aggression against non-hostile entities is grounds for termination.

No Civilian Collateral – Rust-eze Tactical is not a pirate faction. Civilian casualties are unacceptable unless authorized by mission parameters.
Mercenaries, Not Murderers – Assassinations require executive clearance from high command.

Dead or Recovered – No Rust-eze operative is left behind. Recovery teams are mandatory for missing, wounded, or fallen personnel (unless retrieval is impossible).

Salvage is Profit – Employees may claim enemy gear post-battle. However, classified tech and high-value assets go to the company first.

Financial & Loyalty Terms

Pay is Performance-Based – Standard wages apply, but bonuses and shares are awarded based on mission success, leadership, and battlefield salvage.

No Undercutting the Company – Unauthorized side deals with rival factions, pirates, or warlords will result in severe disciplinary action—including contract nullification (and potential execution).

Breach of Contract = Death Warrant – Employees who betray Rust-eze Tactical will be hunted down by their former comrades. No exceptions.

Independent Operations Require Clearance – Employees wishing to undertake personal mercenary work must obtain clearance from high command.

Rank Earns Respect – Promotion within Rust-eze Tactical is based on experience, merit, and combat effectiveness. Officers are expected to command with authority and competence.

Space & Fleet Protocols

No Unauthorized AI Use – Due to the Proxima Incident (2455), all artificial intelligence within company systems must be company-approved and regularly inspected. Rogue AI incidents will be purged with extreme prejudice.

Smuggling is a Court-Martial Offense – Using Rust-eze Tactical ships for smuggling illegal goods will result in immediate seizure of assets and potential execution.

Fleet Chain of Command is Absolute – Orders from fleet commanders must be followed without question, except in cases of extreme moral or strategic conflict (subject to review).

Hyperlane Priority Rules – Rust-eze ships have right of way in designated security zones. Unauthorized vessels may be boarded, detained, or destroyed at discretion.

Docking Fees Apply – All personal vessels docked in company stations require active service contracts or paid permits.

Engineering & Tech Security

Experimental Tech is Company Property – Any newly developed Rust-eze weapons, ships, or defense systems remain company property, even if designed by an employee.

Tampering with Company Ships is Forbidden – Unauthorized modifications to Rust-eze vessels void insurance policies and may result in grounding.

Unauthorized AI Development is Treason – The development of rogue AI systems without company authorization is considered an act of war.

Cybersecurity is Mandatory – All personnel must undergo anti-hacking training and use encrypted systems. Any breach of security will be met with full force.

Weapons Testing Must Be Approved – Testing new weapons in active battle zones without clearance is grounds for court-martial and possible exile.

Disciplinary Measures

Infractions Have Consequences – Rule violations result in fines, demotion, exile, or execution, depending on severity.

Combat Pit for Settling Disputes – Major disputes between personnel may be settled through a sanctioned one-on-one combat trial, overseen by company officials.

Executions for Treason – Any personnel found guilty of espionage, betrayal, or endangering the company will be dealt with harshly and publicly.

Ejection Protocols for Unfit Recruits – Weak or cowardly soldiers will be discharged or reassigned to lower-risk divisions.

Final Rule: Rust-eze Always Collects – Failure to pay debts to the company will not be tolerated. No matter where you run, Rust-eze will find you.
