Walleye (Ellis IX) is a large gas giant in the Ellis system, United Empire of Earth (UEE). Primarily used as a refueling world for passing freighters and warships, the skyline is dotted by refineries that keep fuel in steady supply. The planet's nickname comes from the strange storms that occur deep within the planet's atmosphere that cause white spots to appear. These spots are said to resemble the eyeshine of the walleye fish, an animal found on Earth (Sol III).
