QV Planet Services were a mining corporation based in the United Empire of Earth (UEE). Founded in SEY 2589, their attained their initial capital by convincing investors that they could quickly construct infrastructure and begin work in the newly-discovered Nyx system before other companies got a foothold there. When the UEE accepted their bid to establish operations, they followed through with their promise and rapidly built a network of infrastructure across the system. In the 2630s, another company discovered massive caches of many of Nyx's most valuable commodities elsewhere, tanking market prices. QV formally shut down in 2644 and abandoned their equipment, choosing to recoup the investors with what little funding they had left instead of spending it to dismantle everything.
