The Caliban belt alpha is an asteroid belt in the Caliban system, located in Vanduul territory. When the Caliban system was possessed by the United Empire of Earth(UEE), the belt was a hub for miners, haulers, and salvagers, and was dotted with rest stops in service of travelers. When the Vanduul seized control of the system in SEY 2884, evacuees abandoned all equipment and space stations. It is believed that the resources left behind have been harvested by the Vanduul.
