History

The Shadows of Nyx is an organization that very few thought existed. With small groups of political radicals trying to dissolve any groups on the rise, the Shadows of Nyx were able to overcome this turn of events by staying hidden, and working from the shadows. It is unclear when the Shadows of Nyx was created, some say it could have been years after Carla Larry first charted the system.

The current location of the Shadows of Nyx is said to be near Delamar, somewhere inside the Nyx belt. Others have said that they have seen ships flying in and out of Nyx III. With the remaining few settlements constantly being attacked by pirates, the Shadows of Nyx have made it their avocation to keep these pirates at bay. The current members of the Shadows of Nyx consist of Freelancers, Mercenaries, and Bounty Hunters. While the intentions of this group are unclear to the public, we know that there may be coming events that may shed some light on this organization.

Shadows of Nyx
Ranking Structure

The image below will provide you with our basic command structure within the first four ranks.

Each rank will include a Platoon Leader (PLT LDR), which is in charge of all the Disciples, and gives orders to the Squad Leaders. The Platoon Leader is the highest rank within its overarching rank. The Platoon Leader will be given orders from the Council, and contracts from our Communications Specialist. The Platoon Leader is responsible for the actions of each of his/her Squad Leaders. Any problems that may arise will be brought to the Platoon Leader for him/her to solve.

A Squad Leader (SQD LDR) will be in charge of a group of five, and will give orders to his/her Team Leader (TM LDR). He/she will be given certain task to accomplish from his/her Platoon Leader. He/she is also responsible for the training of his/her squad. Making sure they understand how to use their ships, and/or weapons.

A Team Leader (TM LDR) may temporarily take over as Squad Leader if his Commanding Officer is not present. He/she are just as responsible as a Squad Leader, and must make sure that each of his/her squad members are on task.

Rank 0: Initiate “of Nyx”

The Initiate rank is a part of the initiation process. Once having spoken to an “Officer”, the new
Initiate will be put on a four-day probation. This probation period will determine a few
important things; if the new Initiate is willing to work with others, and is determined to be a part
of this brotherhood.

Rank 1: Disciple “Of Nyx”

The Disciple is classified as a “foot soldier”, usually the first into combat, or any scenario which
presents itself. While the Initiate will follow behind a Disciple to observe him/her in combat.

Rank 2: Agent “Of Nyx” (Spy/Infiltrator)

The Agent will have the opportunity to infiltrate other organizations to gather intel.

Rank 3: Phantom “Of Nyx”

The Phantoms will be considered the enforcers of our organization. Usually the most skilled pilots and soldiers will be known as Phantoms of Nyx.

Rank 4: Shadow Council

The Shadow Council will consist of six members, and will grow with Council members as the organization grows. The purpose of the Council is to engage in treaties with other systems, determine viable contracts, and give missions/tasks to each of the Platoon Leaders.
