Small Hangar Design in CryEngine
I decided to dive into CryEngine so I can reduce my render times in the future, I figured I would also combine the sets for future projects with possible game additions too, this one being a small hangar intended to be part of an airfield (there's no reason they wouldn't exist as a shelter for spacecraft).

That is an awesome hangar concept!
I've been thinking for a while now that I would much prefer a small (ex-)military style hangar to the unwieldy large ones we have now. I myself mostly like small ships and I typically like to have one ship, and one ship only. So, a hanger in this size would really suit my typical in-game needs 90% of the times.
I agree with @BloodDragon though on that it could use a bit more wing tip clearance. But other than that, I would settle for it.

Looking pretty good; reminds me a bit of Hardened Aircraft Shelter (HAS) interiors. Could use a bit more wingtip clearance. Also, what are the raised arm looking things? They look like they could come crashing down atop that Gladius at any moment, but that could just be the aircraft maintainer in me over worrying.

Great to hear it reminds you of HAS because that is what I was going for haha. I was going for as much compactness as possible but I guess the clearance would still be needed, that could be remedied by changing the positioning of the columns I guess. As for the raised arms that is due to an addition I will make in the future to include extra interior girders and other supporting structures. Always interesting to hear what someone like yourself (works in the environment depicted) has to say

I like it!
By the way, how did you get the human in there? I've mostly seen those in CiG's videos, did you animate him yourself?

It is all from a very old build of Star Citizen when the assets could be loaded directly into CryEngine. All the animations are from that old build along with all the models and shaders. I wish I could say I animated him myself but that's beyond my skills, at the moment, and I can't get the damn things to work properly!

What are you talking about a human? I watched it 3 times and didn't see a human. Am I blind?

There are two people in the pit area off the Gladius' left wing tip.

Wow...there are. I guess I AM blind. I'll excuse myself for not seeing them when they are in the shadows...but then the camera pans right behind one of them and I really should have seen that. I DID watch it several times...I DID look for them. I promised. ) (thanks)

Haha, there's also a dude crouching under the nose of the ship doing some work on the front landing gear. It was made nearly invisible when I was doing the colour grading sadly It was way too brown when I rendered it in CryEngine so had to do some tweaking. Here is a screenshot I took if you're interested.

I guess small is relative. I was expecting a box-shaped shed, but that's a big building with multiple levels and stuff. But then again, you only have a tiny bit of head-clearance to get that Gladius in and out. (How would you part in there in the first place?)
Dang awesome space though. Love your style and details.
