History

ORIGINS

The Fundament is a righteous nation of fighters who would die for their liberation. Its origins lie in what started as a small group of just over 100 insurgents attempting to help overcome a plot to destroy a far-off noble House. A noble homeworld known as Araxis was embroiled in a dangerous conflict with the UEE that had finally reached its fever pitch. A sudden raid at the hands of an unusually large Nine Tails armada erupted within Araxian space and atmo. Understandably, no vessel brandishing the insignia of the Empire was present, but no one could deny their hand in bolstering the famous pirate groups’ numbers to such a degree.

Through an unforeseen level of tact from the famed pirates, they were able to overcome the mighty House Araxis’ defenses and raze much of the kingdom swiftly. Seeing the end near, the Araxians and their allies were forced to retreat to escape pods and evacuate as much of the remaining populace as possible. The precursors to what would eventually become The V’yan Republic would be among those escapees. Now scattered and weakened, both collectives struggle to stand once more; although the Araxians took a greater loss, losing their entire planet in the fall.

A NEW, RISEN PEOPLE

Just as their fallen allies must do, the remnants of The Fundament are few in number, but strong in spirit. In the wake of their defeat on Araxis, those who would come to form the new Republic gathered on Delamar to regroup, plan, and carry out a plan to bring forth a new force capable of fighting the UEE; one that would never fall again. Emboldened by their new mission, The Fundament was born with the mission of establishing a more unified, fair, and equitable nation in which all peoples within her jurisdiction are treated with the upmost care and love.

Manifesto

  1. We believe in the true sovereignty of this republic, granted by whichever higher power you believe in, that also grants those in UEE positions of power to control their subjects.
  2. We believe the truest freedom, the V’yan Charter, that proves rather than grants all creatures in this Universe their unquestionable and inalienable rights to life and quality thereof.
  3. We believe we are the rightful successors to the path laid by the People’s Alliance of Levski; We walk this path faithfully.
  4. We believe the UEE’s faithful subjects are in need of a mental resurrection to the truth of the Empire’s infallibility, both in structure and motive.
  5. We believe in a Universal Balance; that corruption, greed, wicked and blind deeds, pride, willful ignorance at the expense of the less fortunate, and tyrannical rule will be stamped out by those masses willing to take their liberation.
  6. We believe that those who have forsaken their ties to the UEE are also afforded the right to adopt a new name to fully separate themselves from their puppeteers.
  7. We believe in justice for ALL whether a citizen of the Republic or not; we believe as others, that we are due equal justice as universal creatures.

Charter

  1. Citizens and Residents are both afforded full and complete freedom.
  2. Citizens and Residents are granted equal justice under the law; applied equally to all regardless of race or creed.
  3. All citizens whose family still remain under UEE citizenship/civilianship are allowed a home within the borders of V’yan space wherever they desire.
  4. We demand that citizens with immediate family currently imprisoned for crimes less critical than murder should be set free and allowed emigration to V’yan space.
  5. We shall police our own people and affairs.
  6. Our ways are to be respected entirely without impedance or disruption by an foreign entity.
  7. We will not impose our ways on others.
  8. All those born in the V’yan Republic are born free and possess independent citizenship from the UEE.
  9. All citizens have the right to a clean and healthful environment.
  10. All citizens have the right to pursue life’s basic necessities.
  11. All citizens have the right to enjoy and defend their lives and liberties.
  12. All citizens have the right to acquire, possess and protect property and business.
  13. All citizens have the right to seek their safety, health and happiness in all lawful ways.
  14. All citizens recognize that pursuit of these listed rights must do so within the bounds of V’yan law, and further recognize the responsibilities of violating such law.
  15. As recompense for its neglect of citizen mistreatment at its own hands, we demand the following:
    • Access to UEE educational institutions for 30 years until the V’yan Republic can properly supply its own to its citizens.
    • Access to funds to support the V’yan Republic until it can sustain its own economy and population.
    • Access to resources to maintain a proper society until the V’yan Republic can self-sustain.
