The Star Citizen flight experience continues to improve with the addition of a dedicated Hover Mode that utilizes a ship’s VTOL thrusters and engages automatically near planetary surfaces at low speed.
Shields have also been reworked to implement meaningful differences in the way they perform, while degradation has been improved to allow for damage accumulation through specific behaviors and effects to increase the chance of component failure.

From pistols and SMGs to repeaters built to blow ships halfway across the system, Alpha 3.6 brings serious new firepower. The ability to add attachments to your weapon (like enhanced scopes) further expands the lethality of your personal arsenal.
In accordance with the enhanced degradation system, all ship weapons now suffer appropriately from degeneration and show physical signs of wear, tear, and damage.
