Your Universe

Welcome to Stanton

Star Citizen Alpha 3.0 takes you to the year 2948 to explore a sector of space inside the Stanton System. You can navigate around the massive gas giant Crusader while the first-person mode lets you explore several moons and space stations both on foot or in a ground vehicle. Star Citizen’s high-fidelity locations give players an expansive backdrop to launch their adventures.

Exploring Crusader

Exploring Crusader The first time you load into Crusader from the Universe menu, you will wake up aboard Port Olisar, a hub station located high above the planet. Once you get out of bed, hold the F key to enter Interaction Mode and exit the door. Find your way to the ASOP terminals in the center of the main hall and Interact with the terminal to request one of your ships. Follow the directions to the correct landing pad outside. Before heading through an airlock, make sure you are wearing a pressurized suit by accessing your mobiGlas Equipment Manager app with F1.

RSI Pledge Store

Once you've tried out a few missions in the Alpha Persistent Universe, you might be ready to move past your starter ship and acquire something a little more specialized. While all ships and vehicles will eventually be acquirable in-game, you can help support Star Citizen's current development and expand your fleet by making crowdfunding pledges in the RSI Pledge Store.

Managing Contracts

If you're going to make it in the 'Verse, you're going to have to find a way to earn some credits. The Contract Manager on your mobiGlas is full of employers looking to hire skilled individuals just like you. Press F1 to start browsing through available contracts Delivery, Mercenary, Bounty Hunter, or Investigation jobs. After accepting an assignment, pick the right ship for the job, then set out for the correct location by using the Starmap on your mobiGlas.

Once you have completed your contract, you'll have solidified your reputation as someone who can get things done and earned some aUEC to spend in-game. This Alpha-exclusive form of credits, different than the standard UEC, has been implemented to help with testing the game by allowing players to temporarily acquire the weapons, armor, clothing and ship components available at the shops you'll find around the various space stations near Crusader. These temporary funds and items may be reset between patches.

What's to come New Frontiers

The goal of Star Citizen is to create a living, breathing economy based around the combined actions of millions of people, players and NPCs. As development continues, we will begin to implement the ability to harvest resources, transport them from one end of the galaxy to the other, escort those convoys to protect them, operate refineries to process commodities, and more. Star Citizen’s economy won't be just buying and selling, you will be a key part of a larger system that will react to everything from natural disasters to alien invasions, impacting people throughout the universe, regardless of the career they choose.
