The mobiGlas is a multi-purpose mobile computing device made by microTech and first released in SEY 2818. It has strong hardware and software capabilities that facilitate accessing spectrum, viewing vids, organizing information, downloading and storing data, personal communications, and a variety of other functions. The device is ubiquitous enough in the United Empire of Earth (UEE) that the government conducts its census via mobiGlas. Competitors have released their own versions of the technology under different names; however, the word "mobiGlas" has entered the standard lexicon as a genericized term.
