mobiGlas is a multi-purpose mobile computing device made by microTech and first released in 2818. It has strong hardware and software capabilities that facilitate accessing Spectrum, viewing vids, organizing information, downloading and storing data, personal communications, and a variety of other functions. The device is ubiquitous enough among Humans that the United Empire of Earth (UEE) conducts its census via mobiGlas. Competitors have released their own versions of the technology under different names; however, the word “mobiGlas” has entered the standard lexicon as a genericized term.
