Interview

How did you get involved in the game industry?

I always knew I wanted a career in the game industry. My first chance came in 2008 when I became a customer support rep for Blizzard Entertainment. After working there for about 4 years, I was lucky enough to then join the QA team at Richard Garriot’s Portalarium.

What projects have you worked on?

At Blizzard I provided support for World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2, and Diablo 3. At Portalarium I focused on testing a poker game and another project in development called Ultimate Collector.

What will you be doing for Cloud Imperium?

I will be developing and executing testing operations for the upcoming iterations of Star Citizen as well as the single player Squadron 42.

What are you most looking forward to in Star Citizen?

I am most excited to experience a high level of immersion. The feeling of being in the game will facilitate fun and interesting emergent experiences. I can picture there will be many hilarious You Tube videos and vividly written stories of adventures in the ‘verse. I am really looking forward to it!

What are you playing now?

I am currently playing Left for dead 2, Battlefield 3, and Dayz. I am also interested in simulators and have been playing something called Digital Combat Simulator. I was surprised to discover how challenging it is to pilot a real helicopter but it is a lot of fun!
