It was here I learnt that corporate principles and military principles are basically the same. Insulation. Illusion. Hype. Activity.

History

Session is a one-galaxy paramilitary group led by their Board Of Directors. Sessions’ core belief is that all species deserve a equal role in the galactic community, and that the UEE is too hamstrung by law and public opinion to stand up effectively diplomatically and unite all species. Session supports the principle that any methods of advancing their core belief ascension are entirely justified, including illegal or dangerous experimentation, terrorist activities, sabotage and assassination. Sessions’ operatives accept that these methods are brutal, but believe history will vindicate them. Nevertheless, the UEE have declared Session to be a terrorist organization and will prosecute identified Session agents accordingly.

Session arose from the tumult of the Second Tevarin War in 2610, a conflict between Humanity and the Tevarins. During the Tevarin occupation of Elysium 4, a trio of human mercenaries, Xavier Love, Teva Gare, and Dan Leslie, served with the UEN forces led by General Carr who were resisting rogue Tevarin forces. After capturing a Tevarin general, the mercenaries became embroiled in the general’s conspiracy to use an ancient alien artifact to transform any species capable of finding it into a race of invincible super soldiers. With the aid of the general’s brother, Saten Arkerius, Love was able to foil the plot, but both Gare and Leslie were lost.

In the aftermath, Love realized that although the galaxy was abundant with knowledge and wealth, it was also a dangerous place, and a dark time was coming for all species not working together. It was all species’ duty to meet this challenge, and Love resolved to do everything in his power to better cooperation across all species and ensure everyone’s place among the stars. With that, Love published the manifesto of Session and assumed the identity of “Oreginal.”

As Session grew, it had an indelible effect on the course of human development through acts of sabotage, assassination, media manipulation, and espionage. Session became known to the public after a failed attempt to steal Quantum Fuel from Walleye(Ellis 9) in 2641. The sole surviving member of the operation named his sponsor “Session”, and the publicity from the incident spurred an increase in recruitment. Corsen Messer V and his brother Gammon, candidates for the leadership of their political party, were also assassinated in 2662. It is rumored that it was at the order of the Oreginal to allow Illyana Messer VI to gain the position. Which lead to the UEE Lessening some of its propaganda practices, allowing news organizations to criticize aspects of the government without retribution.

In 2778, It is rumored that Session convinced Burl Hitchens to sabotage the project in order to keep such a destructive weapon out of the government hands. Session was additionally responsible for helping fund the Anti-Messer Revolution, who would go on to kill Linton Messer XI, during the uprising. In 2792, after the assassination of Linton Messer XI, The non-incarcerated population of Charon III stormed the prisons seeking to free political dissidents being held there. In line with Sessions’ agenda, once the public had gained access to the site, the many atrocities performed by the administrators of the prison on behalf of the Messer Government were confirmed.

Session is divided into numerous cells. This ensures that should one cell be compromised, the others would not be captured. Each cell is led by an operative who reports directly to their Board Of Directors. Session operates many kinds of cells, ranging from military to political to scientific, but all united under the common goal of advancing species unification. Session also has operatives throughout the UEE, often embedded in high-ranking positions, giving their Board constant updates and feeding them information that would otherwise be classified.

As of 2952, Session consists an unknown number of operatives organized into multiple cells. Their Board Of Directors oversees all projects carried out by the cells personally; consequently, there are never more than a dozen projects active at one time. This degree of general management allows the organization autonomy should any of the operatives become compromised, also allowing upper management to avoid detection and identification so far.

Session has wealthy sympathizers within the UEE military-industrial complex, who contribute credits and resources to Session, and trust their Board to make the right decisions. Session also owns several front corporations which further fund and support their operations. Spending trends indicate that Session has a reliable income running up to several billion credits per year.

Session produces its own proprietary weapon and armor systems for the exclusive use of its operatives, and has a reputation for being of the highest quality. Such Session equipment that is captured intact is prized among soldiers.

Session is known to publicly endorse continued construction of Synthworld. However, no one is exactly sure why…

Manifesto

Session, by any means neccessary, seek to unify all species of this Galaxy. Session believes there is a greater threat coming to the known galaxy. Session believes it is vital for all known species to unite under one banner in preparation to defend our way of life. Even in difference of culture, and education. They believe we can unite in acceptance for a common goal. Once this has been achieved. They ulitmate goal is to progress to the point where we can seek out the edges of our galaxy to aggressively pursue more knowledge of the unknown threat.
