A brief informal history from our founder

“Like so many other entities out there Aegis Complex Mercantile Enterprises (ACME) started from humble beginnings; in this case a simple idea between five of us operators while deployed under unique conditions”

“Back then we were on long term secondment from the UEE Marines, and in the thick of multi-mission operations for a not so advertised section of the UEE government. I actually coined the acronym ACME as a joke while shooting vodka from this gold gilt tea glass, of all things, found in a bombed out section of our Area-of-Operations. Another day of Ops was over, we’d racked our EXO suits, combat kit dumped where we’d dropped basically. We were covered in dirt, crusted with sweat and stank. Just siting there cleaning weapons and tossing alcho-bladders of ice cold vodka to one another…… toasting another day of breathing…….of course ACME meant something very different then……but it kinda stuck in our minds”

“Time marched on and the team after many assignments was broken up, repurposed and I eventually retired……but we kept those damned glasses, one each, even had one spare…….”

“Must have been a few years I suppose when I bumped into one of the crew ……of course that translated into a few drinks for old times sake, recounting past exploits in low voices and veiled speech and me uttering as we staggered out of the Bar – hey remember that crazy idea I had -……… and here we are”

The company

ACME is a privately owned all-for-profit/profit-for-all niche contractor specializing in Special Circumstances Contract Execution (SCCE).

Since its inception 11 years ago ACME has navigated a meteoric rise through the ranks of SCCE providers; last year attaining admittance to the prestigious UEE top 20 independent contractors (entities employing 15 staff or less-division).

ACME primarily contracts to Space Trans-Aeon Brokers (STAB [A civil procurement arm of UEE Defence]), but has recently diversified into an affiliate relationship with Xplor. ACME is supremely confident that it’s unique and lucrative association with STAB will be replicated with Xplor as it benefits from the ACME brand of SCCE.
