History

Astrea Freelancing was founded in 2945 by Albert Delancey and Yosef Wernher, two childhood friends. Delancey and Wernher grew up as urchins in Fujin City, Saisei. During their early years, they promised that they would one day create a company that would cater to the needs of those with little recourse.

After countless trials and tribulations, that promise now stands ready to be fulfilled.

Manifesto

Astrea Freelancing provides aid to those in need. Whether it’s getting goods or passengers from point A to B, providing medical assistance, gathering intel, or otherwise aiding your missions, Astrea Freelancing will rise to the challenge to provide outstanding services at affordable prices.

Astrea Freelancing is a company of independent contractors working loosely together for communal and personal gain.
Outside parties, whether they are individuals or organizations, contact Astrea headquarters with jobs they need done, and Astrea HQ contacts its employees for those willing or best suited to complete that job. Employees have the ability to set their own rates and hours, and are free to pursue their own interests and activities when not actively working an Astrea job.

If you wish to contact Astrea Freelancing to outsource a job, please follow the steps below:
  1. Contact any online Astrea Dispatcher outlining the details of your job. If no dispatchers are available at the moment, send a message to Y_Wernher or Delancey outlining the details of your job. A request form can be found Here
  2. A dispatcher will forward the job details to the Astrea employee best suited for the job. The employee may make amendments to the original offer, such as setting their desired pay.
  3. Once the employee accepts your offer, transfer the agreed upon surcharge to Y_Wernher or Delancey.
  4. The employee will then fulfill the agreed upon job, and be paid according to the previously agreed upon payment plan.
  5. Rest easy knowing Astrea Freelancing takes pride in their duties.

Charter

Astrea Freelancing is eager to work with both individuals and organizations to perform miscellaneous services.
Likewise, Astrea is continually seeking new applicants who will enable us to further carry out this goal.

Astrea boasts a fully flexible working environment: Astrea Freelancing allows employees to dictate their own hours and workload; employees are contacted by Astrea dispatchers with potential job opportunities, and are free to name their desired payment for the job, or even decline the job entirely, if they feel they would be unable to complete the job.       Astrea employees can apply for one of three different job categories. These categories dictate what jobs the employee is most interested in undertaking. The categories are as follows:
  1. High-Risk Operative — HROs are best suited for risky jobs. They are proficient with handling themselves in dangerous situations. This includes bounty hunting, escorting, or any job where combat is expected.
  2. Trade & Transport Officer — TTOs are best suited for jobs dealing with cargo. They are proficient in haggling, hauling, and holding cargo. Jobs include transportation and trading, but also mining and other resource-related jobs, and transporting passengers.
  3. Swift Task Officer — STOs are best suited for jobs where being quick is integral. They are proficient with agility, speed, and long-distance travel. Jobs include exploration, scouting, and emergency response.
     
    These job categories can be reassigned at any time at the discretion of the employee.
     
    Once hired, Astrea employees will be contacted by dispatchers on behalf of a company or individual who is seeking aid.
    The kinds of jobs an employee is contacted with depends on what job category they have assigned themselves.
    The employee will be sent a description of the job they have been asked to perform, and sets a play rate that makes sense for both themselves and the client.
    Once a decision is reached, the employee will complete the job, and receive the payments promised to them.

    Astrea Freelancing strives to provide any service to anyone, anywhere. However, like all things, there are some limitations.
    Astrea is still a small company—our resources and our customers should never be put in undue danger, even at the request of a customer. This means that combat-intensive and/or high-risk missions are usually not within the scope of Astrea Freelancing’s activities, however may be doable at the full discretion of the customer and Astrea employee.
