Gruppe 9 VIP Transport

Founded in 2895, Gruppe 9 VIP Transport offered rapid transport contracts to both high end business and UEE officials for 48 years, with only 1 major incident in that time. Trusted by all, and envied by many, the luxury fleet was capable of getting people where they were needed most, in style and comfort, until, in 2943, one of G9’s RSI Constellation Phoenix-class ships was attacked by Vanduul scouts. While no fatalities occurred, the need for stronger security capability arose.

Royal King Security Merger

A fledgling company, Royal King Security offered security and bounty hunting services to stations and private citizens, with a state-of-the-art fleet, alongside galaxy-class logistical support. The chairman of G9, [Redacted], proposed a buyout deal in 2943 to merge the two companies, to better provide security for G9 contracts, and to permit RKS access to higher level contracts with the UEE. The merger completed in the same year, forming the first 2 companies of Group 9 Concern; Group 9 VIP Transport and Group 9 Security.

At this point, the Gruppe was changed to Group, to be more accessible in the galactic community.

Quantum Salvage & Mining

By January 2944, G9C had realised the potential in G9S’s (formerly Royal King Security) logistics branch, and the applications outside of pure transport and security. Looking to find more information on the subject, G9C formed a contract with Quantum Salvage and Mining to observe the capabilities of the RSI Orion-class mining rig alongside applications of the G9S logistics branch. The trial was found to be so successful, that G9C formed a permanent contract with QSM to provide security and logistics. 9 months later, QSM was absorbed, the director of QSM moving to the board of directors of G9C.
