History

Most of the founding members are professional pilots from the Planet Earth. From its countries of Australia, New Zealand, United States of America, Canada, Great Britain and the rest of the United Kingdom. We formed this company to expand “corporate” activity into space and see where fortune will take us.

Some have said that we may be a front for larger organizations……

IVC Manifesto

- Our main goal is to have fun and a laugh and make significant financial gains for all members of IVC

- IVC will focus operations in the following areas: a. Exploration; b. Freelancing; and c. miscellaneous ops.

- Our area of operations is to be conducted within all of known and unknown space in our universe.

- To make alliances and build successful partnerships within the universe.

- To encourage members to have fun, take risks, lighten up and not take themselves too seriously.

- Listen to members idea’s and suggestions – this does not ultimately mean that they will be acted on.

- And lastly to encourage each member to display leadership and intelligence that will enable IVC to profit and grow into a successful corporation.

Charter

Intrepid Voyagers Corporation (IVC) Charter

Mission
1. IVC, exists for the purpose of gaming in a friendly environment. We intend to present a mature, humorous, casual and friendly attitude at all times, while keeping real life obligations in their proper perspectives. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, sex, or nationality. However, you must be at least 21 years old to be a member. However we reserve the right to discriminate when we deem appropriate to do so. We are not a democracy, if you dont like it, your welcome to join any organization willing to take you.

Organization
2. IVC is governed by the Executive General (EG) and the Executive Council (EC). This will be known as the “Executive”.

The “Executive”
3. The“Executive” consists of the following positions: the Executive General (EG) , who is the supreme leader and has power of veto over all matters, and the Executive Council (EC) that consists of an Executive Career Adviser, an Executive Hiring Officer, an Executive of Information and other Executive Officers that the Executive General (EG) wishes to appoint to the lofty heights of power. All decisions are made by majority agreement of the“Executive”, but when deemed necessary by the Executive General (EG), the Executive General (EG) may veto any decision and overrule the “Executive”.

3a. The “Executive” determines decisions by a simple majority vote to pass. Unless of course the Executive General (EG) veto’s.

4. Governance – The “Executive” is the governing body of IVC. However when deemed necessary by the Executive General (EG), the Executive General (EG) may make any decision he deems fit to make in the best interests of IVC. However for day to day governance the Executive Council (EC) will oversee the organization in all decisions that affect the entire organization, including, but not limited to, the following functions:
a. The “Executive” shall have the power to authorize the addition of new members.
b. The “Executive” shall have the power to authorize the immediate killing, removal and dismissal of members that are no longer active or that have been requested by “Executive” members to be removed by The “Executive”.
c. The “Executive” shall have the power to impeach a member of The “Executive”, when such action has been requested by a simple majority of the The “Executive”. This requires a majority vote of the other members of The “Executive”.
d. The “Executive” shall have the power to determine the minimum standards and codes of conducts for Members.
e. The Executive General (EG) shall oversee election of a new member of the “Executive”.
f. The “Executive” shall have the power to request contributions and implement a tax, dues or fees to pay debts that affect the entire organization.

5. The “Executive” must meet 4 times per year. The meetings shall be held during the first week of each of the following months: January, April, July and October. The Executive General (EG) shall select and call the meeting at an appropriate day and time. Other meetings may be called as needed.

Ownership
6. The name “Intrepid Voyagers Corporation” and or whatever future name changes take place in regard to this organization, the Spectrum ID “IVC” and the extant name remains the property of the members of IVC and shall be administered by The “Executive”.

Recruiting
7. A potential Recruit must be at least 21 years old. Or otherwise age is decided on special circumstances decided by the The “Executive”. A Member must successfully complete a probationary period of not less than 30 days. Members may not hold membership of other organizations whilst a member of IVC. This is to protect OPSEC of IVC and its members.

Spy’s
8. Anyone caught spying will be expelled, tortured and killed immediately on orders from the Executive General (EG).

Tax, Corporate Fee’s, Regular Voluntary Donations (In game money) (Not real money)
9. All members of IVC must contribute regular dues to help the day to day running of IVC. Minimums amounts will be determined and posted by the The “Executive”.

Conduct:
10. A Member or Recruit must conduct themselves, whether in forums, in email messages, voice comms or on servers within the following Code of conduct:
a. Make no public charges of misconduct, allegations of any sleezy nature or cheating. If you have proof, contact the “Executive” and they will pursue the matter as they determine best (usually the scumbag concerned will be tortured, drawn and quartered and sent home to mummy in little pieces).
b. No gutter talk. (i.e. swearing, racist comments, racist jokes, etc)
c. Always present yourself in a Mature manner….you are representing IVC.
d. Do not abuse your Administration privileges.
e. Treat people like you would expect to be treated, in other words be respectful and be prepared to accept other people points of view and opinions, refrain from talking about politics and religion.

Forums
11. The forums are a privilege and not a right. If you abuse them you will lose the privilege. They are here for all to enjoy. Controversial posts will be scrutinized and deleted if necessary. No member except the Executive General (EG) or a “Executive” official authorised by the Executive General (EG) are able to make official statements on behalf of IVC. Any member who purports to make a statement on behalf of IVC will be dealt with by having his fingers removed with a nail file.

Violations
12. The “Executive” reserves the right to delete posts that are in violation of the charter or violate common decency without warning.

13. If you are found in violation of the forums rules:
a. You will be sent a Private Message from The “Executive”, or a “Executive” member as a reminder of what is expected behavior suitable for the forums. This will be your only warning.
b. On a second violation your posts will be approved by a “Executive” member before posting to the forums for a period of 7 days.
c. On the third violation you will be banned from the forums until the next “Executive” meeting. At which time The “Executive” will make a decision on appropriate punishment. This can include removal from IVC. You will be informed of the results forthwith.
d. Or if found to be necessary the above steps will be ignored and the offender will be summarily removed from IVC and dropped off at the nearest heavenly body.

Appeals
14. There are no appeals all decisions are final, however The “Executive” may reconsider any decision if they wish.

Modification of the Charter
15. The “Executive” may propose changes to this Charter as needed and upon approval of the The “Executive” and or the Executive General (EG).

Piracy
16. IVC doesnt tolerate Piracy and advocates its destruction, any member caught pirating/robbing/murdering will be dealt with by the “Executive”.

** IVC RULES WHEN CONDUCTING OPERATIONS **

17. When conducting trade, exploration or simply moving from A to B we will conduct ourselves as if we are always operating in a “High threat” environment. By operating this way we reduce our security threats and project our willingness and resolve to be successful and not a walkover by any hostile entity. When aggressive action is needed we will act violently and decisively with skill and controlled aggression. We do not stop until the threat is totally destroyed. However when a threat is judged too large we withdraw in good order and remain operational to carry on.

18. When we Fly

a. Don’t forget nothing.
b. Have your ship clean as a whistle, lasers scoured, ammo charged, ship refueled and be ready to fly at a minute’s warning.
c. When you’re on the fly, act the way you would if you was sneaking up on the Vanduul.
d. See the enemy first.
e. Tell the truth about what you see and what you do. Our Corporation depends on us for correct information. You can lie all you please when you tell others about the IVC, but don’t never lie to a fellow Pilot or Officer.
f. Don’t never take a chance you don’t have to.
g. When we’re on the fly we fly dispersed, far enough apart so one shot can’t go through two ships.
h. If we strike overwhelming unexpected danger we spread out , and get the hell out of there , regroup and act accordingly.
i. When we fly, we keep moving till we dock in safe territory, so as to give the enemy the least possible chance at us.
j. When we dock in strange locations, half the party stays on station while the other half gets on the booze.
k. If we take prisoners, disarm, search, restrain and blindfold them , give all the booty, documents and intel to Strut. He likes gold watch’s. All payoffs, bounty’s and ransoms go to IVC.
l. Don’t ever fly home the same way. Take a different route so you won’t be ambushed.
m. No matter whether we fly in big groups or little ones, each group should keep a scout ahead, on each flank, in the rear so the main body can’t be surprised and wiped out. If your by yourself you deserve to be caught. Never fly by yourself.
n. Every flight you’ll be told where to meet if surrounded by a superior force and have to bug out real fast.
o. If somebody’s trailing you, make a circle, come back onto your own tracks, and ambush the bastards that aim to ambush you.
p. Focus fire using fire commands from the Flight Commander, you will kill them faster.

19. When we are Planet-side:

a. Be courteous to everyone, friendly to no one.
b. Decide to be aggressive enough, quickly enough.
c. Have a plan.
d. Have another plan
e. Have a back-up plan, because the first one probably won’t work. And probably the second one too.
f. Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.
g. Do not attend a gunfight with a Blaster whose caliber is smaller than your head.
h. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice.
i. Move away from your attacker. Distance is your friend.
j. Use cover or concealment as much as possible. Watch your back, and your mates back.
k. Flank when possible. Protect yours.
l. When in a fire fight always do what you have to – to always win. Winners are grinners.
m. If you are not shooting, you are already dead.
