Manifesto

The Emergency Medical Services Foundation (MEDICS) is an intergalactic movement which was founded to protect sentient life and health, to ensure respect for all sentient beings, and to prevent and alleviate suffering with a particular focus towards safeguarding and preserving life during interstellar conflicts and accidents of any nature.

MEDICS seeks to be:
  1. the foremost clan tag trusted by the Star Citizen to represent peaceful provision of care. Old Earth had the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The UEE has MEDICS.
  2. the first stop for any citizen seeking to break into the Star Citizen medical rescue profession.

MEDICS occasionally publishes recommendations and guidelines for performing emergency medical services, especially for high risk situations, in order to promote the safety and well-being of its agents and the general public.

Charter

To be an official accredited MEDICS member the rules are simple:

  1. When you fly the MEDICS tag: first, do no harm.
  2. When taking part in an official MEDICS op, adhere to the MEDICS organizational structure first.
  3. Uphold the reputation of MEDICS and our partner organizations.

Since MEDICS is composed of many partner organizations, please do your best to respect that other organizations may have different organizational rules, levels of commitments, and approaches to providing Star Citizen with medical care, but at the end of the day though we’re all here to try to save people.
