History

Welcome to the Night Prowlers, home of the business casual mercenary.

In this org, we have a focus on combat as our primary means of gameplay, however we do not prohibit any alternative gameplay types. Instead, we encourage our members to diversify where they want so that our org can be better suited to meet the unknowns of the future and bring with them skills and knowledge to procure any advantage possible.

Being a PMC (Private Military Contractors), we have adopted a militaristic ranking and discipline structure, however we will not be too serious about it. If the situation or job requires it discipline may be enforced more rigidly, but generally you’ll be free to speak your mind and take some initiative and risk.

As mercenaries, we are willing to take on most jobs for the right price. This doesn’t mean we are going to take out helpless miners and traders minding their own, but we could be paid to remove potentially hostile escorts of theirs moving through territory you call your own.

For policy and general attitude towards your actions in game, so long as they don’t violate our small handful of rules you’re generally free to play how you like on your own or with others here. Just try to not make our name mud, ok?

If you do decide to play with us, we require that you apply to the org as either your main org or list us as an affiliate. Either is fine with us, but we are hoping to not have more loiterers than members and as such we will prune guests every 30 days. Once accepted you will be labeled as an org member and exempt from the 30 day pruning.

Manifesto

The Prowler’s Organization is a Paid/Private Military Contracting Group. Our Mission is to provide paying customers our private individuals, assets, or persons and to assist in goals or missions.

Charter

1 – Respect the person: You don’t HAVE to like everyone you meet here (though it’d be nice), but if there’s something you’re not meshing with another member on. We will not tolerate derogatory remarks regarding race, sexual and gender identity, speech and mental impediments, nationality, religion, or physical appearance.

2- The don’ts of text chats: Do not post or discuss the following in the various text channels.
NSFW/NSFL content, religion and politics, traumatic images or descriptions. These are also heavily discouraged in voice comms, but not outright prohibited. Know your audience.

3 – It’s only a game, don’t stay angry: Sure, Star Citizen is a wonderful escape, but sometimes the bugs in it or the players playing it can take a good experience and turn it sour. If this happens to you, don’t be afraid to take a break. Don’t take your bad experience and make it someone else’s.

4 – Exercise civility: It’s a big verse, but you share it with others. Don’t go around calling people names or needlessly ruining the experience for another player. And even if you’re not flying our colors, there is a non-zero chance that your actions will reflect on the org, so please keep that in mind. If you become known for being a pad ramming troll or similar, and Night Prowlers are associated with this, we will likely consider removing you from the org.

5 – Absolutely no griefing: we at Night Prowlers have defined griefing as
Griefing is an unprovoked negative/hostile action taken against another player for no benefit beyond annoying or upsetting them

6 – Exercise professionalism: Similarly, being known as a team player is only ever a good thing. Don’t be afraid to sign up or volunteer or offer to work with other members to achieve goals or gameplay experiences that might be impossible alone, and make everyone’s gameplay experience better. Just be aware that not everyone will have the same play styles and times of availability.

7 – We’re all adults here: This org as such is currently limiting membership to 20+ years old.

8 – No undeclared streaming to Twitch/Youtube/others. If everyone in the channel is cool with it, then have at it.

9 – Violations of rules: If these rules are broken, or you are the subject of many complaints, membership within the org may be revoked pending an inquiry by staff. This inquiry will include a conversation with you and the outcome of further deliberations will be shared with you.
